How does the quick heat function work? How quickly do the tongs heat up?

Within 60 seconds these tongs will be hot enough to start curling. The temperature will quickly reach up to 200°C. The tong has a safety feature where it automatically turns off after an hour of use.

How long should I use the curling tong on each section of hair to lock it into place?

Since the tong can reach up to 200°C it is key to not hold it for too long. We suggest you make sure to only use it for 5-8 seconds to lock the hair into place.

How do I use the tongs safely?

Section the hair into small parts. Clamp the ends of your hair and use the cool tip to wrap the hair around the barrel away from your head to prevent any face, neck, ear or scalp burns. Release & let curls cool. Repeat across all sections.

How do i know which barrel size is the right one for me?

A quick way to know which is right for you is deciding what you want from your curls. If you want lots of ringlets, go for a smaller size, if you want loose curls go for a larger size. Choose a middle size if you want the best of both options.

Why does my hair feel dry after using the Wahl curling tongs? How can I prevent this?

The Curling tong heat is high enough to evaporate moisture inside the hair shaft. When moisture is lost, hair becomes dry. Use heat protection spray/cream/serum with every use to ensure the hair remains protected.
