I’ve been a huge fan of konjac sponges for close to three years now. I’ve tried lots of different brands but nothing compares to My Knojac Sponge. I’ve also tried a variety of types such as green tea, bamboo charcoal, and turmeric just to name a few. This is my first time trying the French Green Clay. I fell in love with this brand, My Konjac Sponge, upon first use. The reason I tried other brands is because this can be a little pricey compared to others. I eventually found out that it’s well worth the extra few bucks because the other brands just don’t even compare to this. I say this for several reasons. First, this konjac sponge is much larger than others. I absolutely love the size and shape as it fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. One side is flat and the other side is curved. The teardrop shape is great for you to use the corner end to get around your nose and eyes better. There’s also a string on the large rounded end so you can easily hang in the shower to dry. It’s very important to hang it up and not leave it laying down. This not only helps the sponge to dry but it also helps to eliminate more bacteria. It’s simple to keep this konjac sponge clean. After around two weeks you can place the sponge in a microwavable bowl with water. Then place in the microwave for about three minutes, depending on your microwave. Just make sure it gets to a boil. This will eliminate all the dirt from your sponge. After removing from the microwave, be sure to squeeze out the excess water and then hang to dry. I tend to do this about two times before I replace my sponge with a new one. This can be at your own preference of course. As far as the French Green Clay, it’s stated that this is good for combination skin. I do agree with this statement. However, if you tend to have acne, I would suggest the My Konjac Sponge with bamboo charcoal. I personal feel that this one works better for my acne. The sponges can be used alone to clean your face but I use a facial cleanser with mine. Overall, My Konjac Sponge is definitely my preference of brand and the French Clay is good for normal to combination skin.

Very effective cleansing tool - thorough but not harsh & doesn't leave your face feeling stripped. I use this at night to get my face really cleaned & have already noticed a difference in my pores. I use the turmeric version in the morning with just a scooch of cleanser & this at night with about half the cleanser I normally used before this product. Is definitely a keeper & pays for itself. It's also almost impossible to overuse it - even though it is that gentle it really is effective.

I have used a few different kinds of these Konjac sponges, including this french green clay, along with the the turmeric and charcoal ones. This particular one works well and is reasonably priced, as are the others. I do sometimes struggle with adult acne. So I interchange this one with the charcoal one. If you struggle with any acne, definitely go with the charcoal sponge for that. When I have stopped using these, it can't be coincidence that my face starts to beak out again (regardless of which sponge I'm using), since everything else in my routine remains the same. I have found they all work very well at cleansing your skin and require an alarmingly small amount of cleanser on the sponge to foam up and wash my face very well. It's really extended the shelf life of my cleanser. Since using these, I've stopped using my Clarisonic and similar products. I have found this to be much more effective for me at getting a good, deep clean that washes off your makeup and impurities. I highly recommend these. I've been using them for about 2 years.
