For me, it does not provide instant relief. But, if I apply it every day, it keeps the carpal tunnel away. I have been using this type of product for over 10 years. It does not feel warm or hot when I put it on. Your skin will be more sensitive when you run it under warm water. Not painfully sensitive, but you will notice it. When comparing products with Capsaicin, pay attention to the percentage. This is 0.1%, and is the highest I could find (CVS used to sell a product with 0.15% potency, but they no longer make it). I saw other products out there with 1/4 the potency but the same price per ounce. For this type of product, get the roll on ONLY, not something that you rub on with your hands. You do not want to get it on your fingers and then inadvertently rub your eyes afterwords (or other sensitive body parts, if you know what I mean). Typical hand washing will not get rid of the residue from a cream.

This helped my muscle aches BUT you need to be careful how much you use. I guess I rolled on too much and it burned the area! I don't leave a lasting mark once I got it all washed off but it wanted.

I tried this on a small patch of skin since I knew it could cause an intense burning sensation. After several hours I didn’t feel anything, so I applied more and massaged it in, as the instructions say to do. I thoroughly washed my hands afterward. However, I rubbed my eye a while later and it BURNED! I washed my hands over and over and for at least 1-2 days my fingers would make my eyes burn if I rubbed them. I continued to just roll the product on my knees but didn’t massage the stuff in. Then about 4 days after doing this my knees began to BURN! By then I forgot that this could cause burning sensation on my skin and thought my arthritis was out of control. The burning just got worse and worse and I almost went to the ER. Then I remembered this could cause a latent burning effect where it was applied and used warm water and soap to wash it off. It helped take the edge off but even after another day of showering and specifically washing my knees with warm water and soap, there is still a burning sensation. It’s worse if I put a blanket over my knees. The product never helped my pain either so it’s headed to the garbage. Beware of the burning and do whatever you can not to touch it!!!!

Will burn on first use over area. Will burn if you smear it elsewhere so do not get it on hands as anywhere you smear it will burn. After a few uses that burn dissapears and - - so does a large bulk of the pain. I now use it every other day, seems to act for 24-48 hours. Bone on bone 76 year old knee likes it.

I have some pain in my left knee as a result of torn cartilage received during a traffic accident. I've tried a lot of topical pain relievers to no avail. I can't take NSADs and I didn't want to take Tylenol daily since it can be hard on the kidneys. So, I decided to use this roll on. This may work very well for some people, so take my experience as mine only. It doesn't mean there is anything wrong with the product. However, after I rolled on just a little, the pain was so great, the only way I could relieve it was to use roll on lidocaine. That calmed it down somewhat. And, I have a high tolerance for pain. I had three children with no analgesics and no problems at all. This felt like my knee was on fire. Now, I might just be super-sensitive to this product. It might not produce the level of pain in you that it did in me. I was hoping this would at least alleviate the pain of my torn cartilage, but such was not the case. However, like I said above, this might be just my experience and it might work well for you. If you want to try it, I'd advise just using a tiny bit to start to see how your body reacts, but do expect it to burn somewhat. I hope this works a lot better for you than it did for me.

Easy to apply and topical application really helps.

First time I have used this. Put it on my shoulder about midnight. It was okay. Not too hot. About 6 hours later I was awakened because my shoulder was on fire! Not warm, but very red and burning. I had to jump in the shower fast to get it off. Skin was bright red and tender the rest of the day. For some insane reason it went nuclear 6 hours later. It will go in the trash since I cannot trust it.
