Ninja Double Oven, 12-in-1, FlexDoor, Stainless Steel, DCT401

We have used a different toaster ovens, or counter ovens for decades! But this was I think is my favorite. We fell in love with this one right away. We love, love the separate ovens. Many complain about how small the top is. I guess depending on what you thought was being offered, it might be a problem. We knew the size and it has worked out great, for us. We use it to toast bread (now we don't need to heat the whole counter oven, just a small space at top) we warm left overs in shallow dishes in the top oven, like a glass pie pan. Bake dinner rolls, etc. It's just my husband and myself, so the size of both the bottom ovens and the top oven works great for us! I am getting ready to put a chuck roast in the bottom oven now! It save so much electric compared to the whole oven. Oh, we have also found that even if you leave the top oven off, it makes for a great warmer. We made lunch for grandkids and the fries were done before the rest. I tossed them up there on a plate and it kept them warm, not hot, for the kiddos! I would 100% buy this again! If for any reason it gives us fits downtime road, I will come back and update this review, but so far, it heats fast (faster than any we have had before) , bakes evenly, and just works for us! Okay, edit 🤣 I just put my roast in. I can only go up to 2 hours for baking? For a slow cooking roast, that doesn't work too well. I don't really mind, because I work from home so I can keep an eye on it. But for someone else, this might matter too much. I would still buy it again. The other positives (for us) still out weigh this tiny negative.

Very happy with purchase. Better than previous air fryers.

I've had this over for about 2 months now and at first, I thought I was in over my head with all the rules. Toasting is only on top, pizza on the bottom, etc. But it works really well and those 'rules' are to provide the best cooking tools for each type of dish. I also bought a second crumb tray so that there would be one on the top AND the bottom. Oddly enough, it only comes with one. I had to order that separate from the manufacturer but highly recommend it (about $15 with shipping, add that to your all-in costs). Its made for cleaning to be much easier (if it came with 2 crumb trays I would have given the easy to clean rating 5 stars). I'm someone who often cooks frozen pizza in my oven (directly on the rack), so based on the size of the ninja, I use my giant oven a lot less (in a warm climate, we don't love to use our ovens a lot as it heats up the house) and the pizza setting cooks it faster too! The air fryer works well too, and I love being able to set the actual temperature on the air fryer (my last toaster oven/air fryer combo had one temp for the air fryer). The convection feature really helps food cook faster. If I could make it better, I'd make the handle smaller so that the door could lay flat on the counter when it is open. As it is, its a tight squeeze to get the tray out of the bottom oven. Removing pizza is a little tricky too, but I worked it out. One more warning, its not very quiet when the air fryer or convection fan is running. Also, when you are done cooking, it will run a fan to cool it off quickly. That is also not quiet, but I've gotten used to it. It was definitely a surprise at first though, but I understand it is for safety.

This thing really works great. The features are amazing. It preheats your setting and then starts to countdown. You can stop it at any time and make adjustments to the settings. My 2 favorite things about this unit is: you can cook 2 things at once and they finish together and I finally can make perfect bacon without any mess. The oil drips straight down into the drain pan, which if you wrap in foil, can be rolled up and discarded, then a quick wipe out of the inside and you are done. I had an air fryer before that also cooked great bacon, but it was impossible to clean. The heating element was in the same closure as the oven, and I could never get that thing clean. The Ninja has solved this problem. The air fryer is in the bottom oven and the elements are in the top. The fan brings in the heat allowing the 6 surfaces in the bottom oven to be basically flat and very easy to clean. After making bacon I just let it cool (it also tells you when it is no longer hot) give the inside a spray of kitchen cleanser, wipe with a paper towel and done. That's the features, as for how this thing is made and appears, I have to say that I am very impressed. It is very solidly made and it is a very attractive appliance, mostly stainless steel with black trim. I only write reviews when I find a quality product , or a total piece of junk. This is certainly the former.

With sadness (because generally Ninja products are awesome) I've to say that this air fryer has been the worst one I ever had owned. I bet on Ninja's historical quality with their blenders and food processors but here they dropped the ball with the design. There's no way to make something in the upper shelf that it doesn't burn out at normal temperatures. And, if lowering the temp to avoid charcoal on your toasts, then it will come out uncooked. The bottom compartment has three racks slots in a very bad height as you either get the food too low into the oven or to high that almost touches the flat metal separating the top compartment from the bottom one thus making the food to have very little room foe the hot air to circulate around. If choose to place the food at the very bottom it remains uncooked unless I do two rounds of heating. My kids are constantly rejecting their meals because of that so I have to cook twice every time creating a huge waste of time. VERY IMPRACTICAL and POORLY DESIGNED concept. They had a good idea but it was poorly executed. I deeply regret to had the packing box thrown away too son so now I can't send it back. Unfortunately will have to sell it for 1/5 of its price (and I just got it 7 days ago) in the Marketplace to make room for another one. IMHO this is to avoid at any cost!!!

Since getting this early this year, it has easily been the most used appliance in our kitchen after the microwave. If I'm baking something that's small enough to fit in here instead of waiting for the full size oven to heat up, I use this. If I'm air frying something that's small enough to fit in here, I use this. Our toaster oven broke (which was actually the reason I bought this oven in the first place) and it does just fine for making toast. My only real complaint is that once it finishes preheating, it immediately starts counting down - I'd rather it give you a chance to put the food in - but overall I'm quite happy with it. Heats up faster than a full oven, but is still large enough to bake a small sheet of cookies. I haven't used the option to cook two things at once and have them finish at the same time, but just having the double oven available has been pretty nice. For the most part, it's pretty easy to clean, although I wish it came with two crumb trays rather than having to move one of them between ovens. But that's not a large enough complaint to deduct a star.

I have attempted many times to get a refund but Amazon comment keeps appearing saying I am not eligible gif a refund!!! Daylight robbery when the fault is of the seller. I also contacted seller and they advised to use a converter as tge item is US product 110/120v I have tried several and different plug sockets of mine yet it still is not working I live in Dubai & bought a relevant Transformer for the appliance 110/120v (US) - 210/220v (Dubai) as advised by a qualified electrician and if still did not work. It’s a shame as the appliance looks good, a great capacity for what i required.

This toaster-oven-air fryer is really nice. I had a few other oven like this from other manufacturers and none of them produced the quality of toast this one is producing! The dual oven setting is really great and make usage is perfect. The air fryer is big and convenient and produce crispy food. The warmup is pretty fast. Operating the oven is a little bit confusing at first but once you get the hang of it, it is pretty straightforward. The cons : It could be a little larger as a 13 inches pizza sheet pan won't fit in. Also, it is alittle noisy compared to others I had. The lower oven could have 2 more height setting for the rack for better convenience. So I really recommend this oven, the best I've owned up to now.
