Does what I expected, looks great fits well. No need to disassemble to use emergency key as stated in previous reviews.

It's a proper BMW product. However😡 my expectations must be out of touch with modern standards. The fact that it's made in China reminds me that the brand is only a name nowadays. That might explain why the key fit feels "strangled", not made for. Oh well, we live and learn.

The previous reviewer who spoke about its bulk is 100% correct however, it does perform 100% i.e. it prevents you from inadvertently opening the vehicle which to me is far better than worrying about its bulk. Prior to purchasing this I returned to my BMW only to find the boot open wide, luckily it was the boot and not a tailgate otherwise my beautiful BMW may have been gone. The keyfob holder is reflects the quality depicted in your typical X3/X5/X7. IMO it’s a worthy buy for reasons cited above.

Item initially looked promising, very good quality components (hence 1 star), BUT poor unreliable product. Definitely not worthy of the price tag.The remote control key isn’t held securely. Over a short time, the screw that retains the remote control key, works loose, and falls out.This wasn’t an isolated case. The identical replacement, bought from BMW did the same thing.

Looks really nice and not that difficult to put together. Does bulk up the key but the extra protection is worth it.Only real downside is the expense.

I bought this due to the really poor design of the my BMW key (2018 X3), having found the car in various insecure states due to accidental keypresses (doors unlocked, windows open, tailgate open). I'd have liked to have said this is really good value for money, but it's not, it's extortionately priced, however given the number of times my car was exposed I wasn't going to mess around with third-party key covers. It looks good, but most importantly, I haven't had any more incidents, this is partly due to it being a good fit, and partly due to it being so bulky that it's sometimes difficult to put in my jean pockets. I have no regrets having bought this, but I shouldn't have needed this to compensate for poor key design.Edit: 18/06/21I've had a couple of incidents since, where the car unlocked unintentionally, so it's not fail safe, however now the securing screw has fallen out and become lost, so it's no longer usable. If you have one of these, I'd advise checking the screw periodically.
