R7S 78mm COB LED Bulbs - Warm White 3000K - 8W / 500LM - Not Dimmable - AC85-265V - J Type Double Ended 70W R7S J78 Halogen Bulb Replacement (Pack of 4)

These put out adequate lumens for the wattage, but the color is definitely whiter than expected. It's a cool white (3500-4100K) rather than warm white (2700-3000K). The color was an important factor for me in choosing this bulb, so I have to dock 2 stars. Nonetheless I plan to keep them and get used to the new color vs the warm white that my old halogen T3 bulb produced. These generate almost no heat and can be left on continuously if one wants. Be mindful that they are fat/cylindrical and may not fit into a narrow fixture. I cannot comment on the longevity of the bulb, having just installed it.

These popped right in my existing 78mm halogen sockets (tough size to find - so quite relieved!). They are definitely 3000k (a touch less yellow than the 2700k), and I would say the halogens I replaced were closer to 2700k. This is no problem for me and definitely like them. These bulbs promise 8W/70W equivalent/600 lumens, and I believe they deliver this. You should check your 78mm halogen rating, as there are many 100W halogens out there that you might be replacing. These are noticeably less bright than this. Lastly, be sure to double-check the diameter measurements of your installation -- these bulbs are definitely a lot wider in diameter than a halogen bulb; but did work great for my installation (bathroom fixture light). My installation didn't have a dimmable switch - so no feedback on this; but they clearly state they are NOT dimmable.

My photo doesn't show the color well, but the brightness is obvious. The lamp on the left is the original halogen. I can't believe they call these "warm white" they produce a cold, stark, bluish light. Also, as both the seller and several reviewers mention, watch out for the diameter, these are about 1 inch in diameter (as advertised) Where the 100w halogens are about .25inch

Replaced some 100W halogen bulbs in a bathroom light fixture with these. They work fine, however make sure you have enough room in your fixture for them, as they are quite a bit wider than a halogen tube ( of course ). They also are cool white, not a warm incandescent white either.As I expected, they are a good bit dimmer than 100W halogen, as expected since the product listing says 70W I believe. However, it feels like about half the brightness, maybe more like a 50W equivalent. Hard to say, but if you are replacing 100W halogen, it will be much dimmer and whiter.UPDATE: After about 6 months, one bulb started growing dim and failed completely within a few month. At a year and 6 months, another bulb is failing. So two out of four didn't last two years. So my summary review is:1) Dim - much less than 100W halogen2) Cool white, not warm3) Expensive4) Not reliable

Came as a.4 pack.2 good.2 no good.not as bright as I thought they would be.technology not here yet for the 78mm or 3" bulb.beware as stated may not fit certain fixtures.had that problem also.nothing to do with bulbs that didn't work

Although not as bright as the halogen it replaced, it's nice knowing it's using much less power to operate.

I installed this bulb in a guest bathroom fixture 20 months ago. I just had to replace it. In my photos you will see a new bulb, with the many LEDs lit up. The other photo shows my bulb after 20 months, with only a few LEDs still lit. This bulb has been used roughly 20 to 30 minutes per day. That short lifespan is not acceptable with an LED bulb for me.Additionally, the color output is terrible. It cast some yellow is some directions, and blue in others. It looks really bad.Overall, I don't recommend this bulb.

Used for mirror light halogen bulb replacement. These bulbs are fairly bright (not nearly as bright as the halogen) however they consume way less energy & heat output. Only thing I dislike about these is that they are Daylight rather than the Warm White which I had ordered & expected.
