Briwax BW7101000010 220 g Liming Wax - White

My teenage son had made some scoring knifed marks in the kitchen worktop. I needed something that was thin enough to go into the score line, the correct colour and would also stay put when the worktop is wiped over.Quite a tall order, I looked at wax sticks, and paints but, the worktop is a mottled grey so a bold colour would stand out and draw the eye to the knife marks.This stuff was perfect, it went on easily, buffed up, and stayed put. You can no longer feel the scoring with you finger nail, it just feels perfectly smooth. If the under counter lights are on you can still see some marking but it’s 90% better.More importantly the wife is happier and my teenage son may make it to adulthood.

Easy and quick to use. Anyone can use this. A great way to get rid of orange pine. One tin goes a long way, so you actually start doing everything . I used it outside so I could sand first.

Fantastic finish, easy to apply.Just take care, fumes are dire. I did do it outside wearing gloves.But super product.

The media could not be loaded. Very soft and workable paste, goes on easily.Yes the fumes are strong but not that bad and you know if the fumes are strong… it’s good stuff! This is a must for anyone wanting a light tone to the wood. This video shows a pine table sanded back with this lining wax used. Looks amazing. Good value for money! I did this table which is around 1x2metres and more than half the tin left.

Does the job nicely, just wish it smelt a little less toxic. Be sure to vent the area well for several days. There will be remnant fumes for several weeks, but it does eventually die down completely.

Updated a very dark antique wardrobe for my new home, and I am so impressed with the quality and the "beached wood" effect. It's a lot of rubbing on and off (because it's a very large piece of furniture), but the look is wonderful. No longer the old dark depressing lump sitting in my bedroom. Rustic French is what I wanted and this is "Great!". Oh, and it is good for the wood, so it can continue to breathe, instead of being sealed with paint. Love it!

I wanted a white wash type finish for pine and tried a gel stain and while it worked it obscured the grain more than I liked. This product is easy to use, is applied with a cotton cloth, against the grain, and wiped off also against the grain after 3-5 minutes allowing the grain to show through perfectly. I should have used it in the first place and saved myself time, money and effort, I'll know better next time!

This product really either for my table. I sanded it and waxed it and it looks beautiful

You need to use a lot more product than anticipated, but does what it should!

I stained our unfinished white pine mantel in our new house and immediately hated the color! It was an orangey oak color. Jumped on Pinterest and found a post about getting the orange out of oak furniture and lightening it. They recommended Briwax liming wax and it worked!! Couldn’t have been easier. I finished it off with a coat of antiquing wax and I LOVE the results. I highly recommend this product!
