Had it sent directly to recipient as a special birthday gift. ( no gift wrapping options sadly) Recipient extremely pleased.

First Thermometer was delivered damaged, (well packaged so not companies fault). Messaged and got quick response and replacement delivered within a couple of days. Absolutely love this!

Brilliant Galileo thermometer! and excellent aftercare service. The first one arrived really well packaged but one of the internal bulbs was broken rendering the thermometer useless. The customer service from the guys at Thorness was excellent, they shipped another thermometer the same day and it arrived perfectly packaged again without any damage. The photos in the ordering page description don’t really do this thermometer justice, the base diameter of the 44cm high thermometer is actually 8cm not the 5cm as shown, the 5cm is actually the the thermometer main body diameter, it’s a stunning piece.

Came well packaged, in excellent condition. So far temperature is very accurate, in fact spot on when compared to my two digital thermometers. So far very pleased

Pleased that I bought the larger 44cm size as it is a great looking object that makes a decorative and very attractive 'active' ornament, however its accuracy as a reliable temperature gauge is questionable. The one I have displays a plus 4-6 degree discrepancy to the reported UK Met Office temperature for my area. The 10 glass bulbs are of varied size and contain a variety of deep, rich coloured liquids that nicely reflect their colours around the inside of the tube. The outer box packaging was filled with air pillows, containing the thermometer box packaged in a molded polystyrene protective case inside a cardboard sleeve which is nicely printed with general operating instructions & informative information on Galileo thermometers. Making a very presentable package if being given as a present. Would have been a five star buy if it actually worked. but not a deal breaker as the unit is very attractive to look at and is a great talking point with visitors and friends.

great (ornament) and science item, always a talking point item with visitors,(along with my "radiometer" ) ,everyone whos seen it has bought one !!!!!! ,its roughly accurate and watching the "orbs" slowly moving up and down as temp changes is nice to see...very happy with this product ,as are visitors who bought it themselves

Excellent product and delivery

I must say that I had some doubt concerning the risk of damages during the travel ! However, the thermometer arrives in perfect condition with a very good packaging and protections ! The thermometer is perfect and it seems to work properly (I have tested it with some hot water !) In addition, the thermometer arrived much faster than scheduled ! Bravo
