Review: Good sound deadening and insulation - Bought this for my camper conversion. Works really well for sound deadening and stopping road noise. Certainly makes a difference regarding insulation. I used foil tape over all the joints so it becomes a vapour barrier. The foil face is though and doesn’t puncture through normal handling. Easy to install and sticks really well so make sure it’s positioned correctly when applying. Once stuck down it’s not coming off. Easy to cut with large scissors and the marking on the foil help with cutting to size. Great product.

**Q: My room is the coldest room out of all the bedrooms in the house, would anyone know the best cost effective way to keep it warm especially in winter?**
A: This does offer some insulation from low temperatures.

**Q: Is this suitable for use on an car engine hood/bonnet?**
A: No reason why it couldn't be used under the hood. Heat may soften the adhesive though

**Q: What is the thermal resistance compare to foil bubble wrap**
A: This is basically a foam layer of 1x side adhesive and the other side is heavy silver foil. 
I got the 10mm thick roll, sticks great on my metal roof and has stopped my roof from dripping condensation. Would be great for van for camper conversion, but maybe use thinner roll.

**Q: Can you paint it?**
A: I would very much doubt you could paint this - particularly as the surface has a fairly soft rubber back. Not easy painting foil in the first place; unless you use a bitumen covering

Bought this for my camper conversion. Works really well for sound deadening and stopping road noise. Certainly makes a difference regarding insulation. Spot on! The roll was very well packed and easy to install. Cut with scissors and the brown paper on the adhesive backing came off easily. Good quality product and stuck really well to inside my outbuilding roof.
