careful if looking for accuracy
These were the second set I bought (along with other Activ8rlivesโด products over 3 years). The last set were accurate when compared to other manufacturers scales I own and in the gym. This new set however are completely useless. They are not accurate - by quite a long way. And when losing fat (according to the other body analysis scales I use) these say that despite losing almost 4โ around the waist (3-4% body fat) that I have not changed at all. In fact having lost 4 kg - these are saying my fat % are up. Water is also up. But bone mass and muscle are the same. Impossible when losing weight. I will NEVER buy a set of these again. They are far too inaccurate. I shall instead stick with my non Bluetooth Tanya which is showing my wight loss and size reduction due to fat loss. Saddened but canโt get a refund now. Activ8rlivesโด lost a faithful customer

Nice piece of equipment and wanted to update from basic digital scales and this is great and easily set up and linked to the app that I downloaded onto my iPhone and iPad. It gives a lot of info when I weigh myself, with BMI, bone mass muscle mass, fat visceral fat etc. However after that when you look at health data, each of these is then shown on a graph, so you only see a line on the graph and cannot recall the detailed data, unless Iโm missing something!

The Body Analyser from Activ8rlives arrived securely packaged and well protected. The quality of the packaging was excellent which was important because this is going to be a present for someone who needs to put on a bit of weight (the opposite for most of us). There is a very simple fast guide showing you how to download the App and get it set up. Batteries are included (important for gifts!). Once you have installed the App, you simply go to the Upload Devices page, choose the Body Analyser on the device menu and stand on the unit, with your feet on the glass plates. The unit is well made, looks very modern and the screen has large numbers and has a very bright screen which lights up when you stand on the analyser. Important if this product is to be used by an older person as in this case. There is no need to do any wireless pairing set-up. You just use the app and take a measurement once you have created an account. I did find that I had to put my height and age in properly, as I got an error message the first time around, but after I put my correct age and height in, it all worked first time. The gift is for an older person, so I will help them set-up the App and show them how to use it, but once you have spent a few minutes getting the information entered properly, it is simple enough for them to use it every day. Altogether, a nice looking product which does a lot of measurements in seconds. The App has the ability to record and show lots of information and it can also be used to record medication taken. As a present for the older person I am giving it to, they may struggle to work it out by themselves, but they have an iPad and I can show them how to use it once I have set it up for them. By asking them to use it every couple of days, I will log in to their account from time to time to make sure they are keeping their weight up over the winter months when there are lots of nasty colds and coughs going about.

Clunky, slow, and saddled with a poor, cumbersome app.
Having come from a set of Fitbit Aria scales I expected these to work in a similar way, but with Healthkit support. Well HealthKit support is there, but it's a completely manual operation to move the data from the scales app to the Apple Health app - surely this could be automatic. HealthKit aside, the scales are generally less user friendly than the Aria. You must have your phone to hand and be in the scales app for them to record anything at all, so multi user support means each person using their own phone when they weigh themselves. Fitbit handle this in a far, far more intelligent way. The scales app is also very clunky and annoying to use. It's extremely unintuitive, laggy, and difficult to work out. It's also ugly to look at. All in all this is a muddled product which needs a total rethink on the UI and multi user front. It's a mess.

Good device, poor app
The device itself is very good. However, the linked app is pretty much outdated and poor. Feels like an iOS 5 app, very slow and buggy (I am an app developer, I know what I'm talking about). And it does not have integration with iOS 8 Health app. Pity, if the app was a little bit better, I'd improve my rating. By the way, why does it need Bluetooth 4.0 for such a simple functionality??

Avoid...... Internet only scales.... Limited display
Just bought this product and very very disappointed... The app will NOT work without Internet connection .... Where I live have little or no Internet making this product an over priced set of scales which only shows your weight and nothing else on the display, as all other details are hidden for some reason.... The app and display let's it down in a big way. It's not worth the money ๐ต and will be returning it for one where I can store the data offline on a tablet or phone The one star ๐ is for it looks only... This is the worst product I have ever bought and I purchase a lot of items.... Internet only scales stupid idea... And it should say, only basic scales function with Internet/And no app function

Great scales, duff batteries
Bought these scales because they look good, have good reviews, the large display and they're techy. I am using the scales with my iPad. It was easy to download the app from the App Store and easy to connect the scales to the iPad, once I resolved the issue with the batteries. I wondered why the display wasn't lighting up, took the batteries supplied out, reinserted them, still didn't work. After several attempts I tried a different set of batteries and the scales worked, turned out the batteries included with the scales were dead ! After placing my order I was very impressed to receive an email with operating instructions which can be downloaded with a view to saving paper. However, when the item arrived there was the paper copy of the operating instructions inside the box. The scales are very attractive, easy to set up and use and I like them very much but the duff batteries and the inclusion of the paper instructions were a little disappointing and that is why the rating is four stars not five.

Great product for all our family
bought the Activ8rlives Body Analyser for use by my family and also a set for my Mum. These are smart scales because they measure your body composition as well as weight. They are well made and of good quality. The package comes with a full colour instruction manual which is unusual these days and has a lot of explanation about how it measures you as well as instructions for setting them up. There's a lot of advice about how to use the App and the website to measure not just weight and fat etc but your activity, food, blood pressure, blood oxygenation, temperature and lung function if you need to. We just measure weight, steps and food intake with the built-in Food Diary in the App. I use an iPhone to upload my data and my wife uses an Android tablet. Both work really well and it takes 5 seconds to get a lot of information from the scales. I also use Apple's HealthKit and with the latest release of their App, all the data is sent automatically to it. Connecting Healthkit to the App is straight forwards and explained well in the App's help section step by step. It was easy for me as I have used HealthKit for other Apps but if you follow the instructions, connecting the two Apps together to exchange data is simple. My wife is not interested in tracking anything but her weight and the rest of the family just leap on the scales like any bathroom scales and don't bother to record anything. Mum uses the App and I ask her what her muscle % is each time we speak so I can tell if she is eating properly as she looses weight and muscle when she is not well. Packaging and delivery from Amazon was good. Nice product and a good experience for us - good value for the money. Recommended.
