No, they are not designed for electro-acoustic guitars. Gauge is too light. You need bronze wound acoustic steel strings. D’Addario do these in various gauges suitable for your instrument. Hope this helps.

Would you recommend these for a Floyd Rose tremolo system? I restrung it with super slinkies, and, unlike on my strat, they haven't worked that well.

Hi Ruth. I've used 9's on my Highway One Strat and found they stayed in tune quite well until they had been on for about 2 months (gigged twice a week) and then the G started snagging. Overall, slightly better than Ernie Ball 9's for me and probably worth the money. Hope that helps :)
