Fairly large. I am 6'1, close to 300 lbs, so my wrist is pretty large. Watch fit without removing any links. Did not have to adjust Size at all.

Appropriate for a Christmas gift?

Yes. I ordered it, very nice watch to surprise my husband for Christmas.

I need a watch with accurate time, can this one work?

Yes, it keeps accurate time and looks expensive. Many friends have praised my watch.
