The more water the brush holds, the richer the lather will be, and a thicker, more emollient lather means a smoother shave. I was shocked by how Intensive and strong the fragrance of Truefitt & Hill 1805 is. At first you are met with a sandalwood, cedarwood and musk scent but gradually pick up notes of citrus and cardamon. This cream lathers up beautifully. It is slick, rich and very moisturizing. You get a great shave as the blade just glides, no nicks, no drag or burn. I found that the fragrance of this 1805 shaving cream, Does Not dissolve as much as others but lasted for several hours.

Lather explodes everywhere with this cream where a little goes a long way. I can't fault it as it leaves my face leaving very smooth and comfortable. I would use it with a non-greasy after shave balm. Works a treat in all sorts of weather. I am a straight razor user and this gives very good glide for the razor.
