Loved the ease of this product. Our guitar switch stopped strumming 'up'. We ordered this part, a soldering kit and the vacuum and in less than 30 minutes had a perfectly working guitar.

Ordered these after buying a Guitar Hero World Tour guitar at the flea market. They arrived quickly and I was able to do the work a day later. It requires a soldering iron and a solder sucker for removing the old solder. I also bought a pair of helping hands to hold the board in place. he de-soldering process is pretty tricky (I toasted a few sections of the strum bar circuit board), but with some time, I was able to remove the old solder and switches. The new switches stayed in the board snugly, which made the soldering process much easier than de-soldering. You should also detach the cable that connects the strum bar to the guitar's brain (aka the directional pad and X-button). Will make the process much easier. Having used the new guitar for a few hours, it works great, maybe better than new. Pro: They are a significant improvement over the stock switches, and might make parts of songs even a little easier for players. The soldering process is pretty straightforward even for beginners (just watch the iron and main board). Cons: The new switches are LOUD. The clicking is very noticeable and were a little distracting at first. If you're the type who doesn't like the clicky GH-type guitars, this might be an issue. Also, I was hoping there would be an instruction sheet in the package but there was not. Fortunately, there are Youtube videos about soldering and, in fact, performing this exact operation, so you'll have to use them.

Fixed the issue on my guitar not registering the down strum. Working great so far. ***Keep in mind you will have to do some soldering.

Great switches, they’re exactly what I needed! The soddering was a pain, but take your time when replacing them.
