**Q: Is this a replacement for the old 2 piece cartridges?**
A: Yes but you can go to Pfister CS website and check models by your self.

Both works but the update version cartridge is better.

974-0420 before 2015
974-3210 after 2015

**Q: Will this work for part number 794322?**
A: Yes - works as a replacement for 974322.

**Q: Is this a true replacement for 9740420 & is it really an upgrade?**
A: As was posted in response to earlier questions... Yes, it is a true replacement for the 9740420. The upgrade is point of view and dependant on how hard your water is. The minerals do not build up in this one as quickly as the 9740420.
