Does the job but a little soft
A little soft as the skewer is easily bent. I'm not prone to overtightening a skewer but this one has a slight bend in it already.

Quick release is the way to go
Bought this as a replacement for the one they came with my cycle trainer, And yes this can be used for indoor trainer and outside use.
