Ointment for Dogs - Itchy Dog Skin Relief, Helps Soothe Itchy and Dry Skin Irritation, Cleanses and Disinfects (100g)

Smells and looks quite alarming - brown and oily with a strong tar like smell BUT it really does work - my dog has severe allergies and she had awful scabbing on her elbow that was really thick scabbing that irritated her and had been there and spreading for almost a month (we did consult a vet but they just said it was a "hotspot" but I used this on her elbow and within days the scabbing became loose and stopped spreading. Her elbow is still a bit scabby but the spread has stopped and it doesn't seem to bother her anymore.

This has a very unpleasant smell and residue so I advise wearing plastic gloves and keeping dog off furniture when applying!BUT it does work well and a couple of applications rash cleared up and my little spaniel stopped scratching!!👍👏

My Rottie, had a really bad hot spot on her neck, very wet and very infected, despite the negative reviews regarding the smell, we thought how bad can it be, to be honest it does smell like an old ash tray, however I can easily put up with that if it helps. Day 1. I gave the area a good clean, and despite 3 applications morning noon and night the hot spot didn’t really show much improvement as the ointment seemed to be soaking away to nothing, Day 2, the instructions aren’t really clear, I wasn’t sure if to wash the area again or apply over the top, I went for the later and applied over, again 3 applications and again, not a great improvement, Day 3 we are starting to see results, the area was beginning to dry up, Days 4 to 7 the results were just amazing, hot spot now well under control and no sign of redness or any infection. I am not one to leave reviews but I had to for this product. Instructions not great, smells bad, but what a fantastic product, my wife was over the moon, as she was in tears first day as the hot spot was so bad, what a difference a week makes. Lolas fur has completely grown back now as well. Hope this review helps.

Smells horrible very strong smell,but it works

This product is amazing a side from the smell it works wonders on my pets skin revitalise her dry skin and the hair has grown bk brilliant

I have just use this on my dogs tummy which is very red and sore, she is sleeping now and looks content i think it has given her some relief from the itching will keep you updated after a week to see hows she is doing

If I could give less than one star i would. Don't attempt to buy. It stinks, awful smell even when you wash your hands. Dog still smell after 2 days. The worth thing it stains everywhere brown stains on couch, carpet and bed, can't clean. £9 in the bin

It’s stinky, no it’s smell so bed and intense that you can’t have your dog around.

Worked on dog web and toe cyst like no other...Yay..........

very smelly !!!! couldn't stand it. threw it away. Didn't seem to work on cysts in between dog toes
