Cholula Tequila & Lime Reserva Hot Sauce (Crafted with 100% Agave Tequila), 5 fl oz

This is pretty good sauce, I was surprised by it. It does taste just like tequila, as it should because it actually has real tequila in it and has alcohol in it (around 1.5%), as well as lime juice. The flavor is very unique apart from regular Cholula. It might be an acquired taste for some people but I found these go great both on eggs and on fajitas and tacos. The price for the size isn't bad at all. If you like Cholula and you like tequila, I'd definitely recommend giving this a try.

This is, hands-down, the best tasting hot sauce I have ever had. I received a gift set of Cholula hot sauces, because I love the classic Cholula. When browsing Amazon, I came across this additional flavor I did not have, so I immediately bought it. My first taste was on pizza, where it added a brightness that complemented the pizza very well. However, the real magic is on Mexican and Tex-Mex food. This has a great lime citrus flavor, and the tequila is subtle but it's there. It elevates Mexican spices. I wanted to take it with me to the Mexican restaurant but saved myself the embarrassment. Get this sauce, it is incredible!

I'm a fan of several other Cholula products but had never seen this one before. It looked like it might be a limited edition and happened to be on sale, so I thought I'd give it a try. The flavor is very interesting, you can immediately pick up on the lime and tequila notes, but they're not overwhelming. It's almost a sunny, summery sort of flavor. There are definitely some things I'd never pair it with, like eggs or other breakfast foods - but for dinner type meats, veggies, rice, it's great. I've been loving it on tacos in particular, the citrus notes make it great with chicken or pork. Haven't tried it with fish or seafood yet but I think it could work. The heat is pretty mild for a hot sauce, which makes it a good option for people who can't do too much heat - but people who prefer a strong heat may be disappointed with the lack of fire. The strength here is definitely in the uniqueness of the flavor. I'm loving it and hope they continue making this product.

this is very good but not particularly strong in taste - and that might be my 71 year old taste buds. I enjoyed it on some street tacos I made, but even in copious amounts it was not a very strong flavor. however, I did like it. it brightened them up and the taste was natural and organic not like a fake sauce. I will continue to have this on my spice turntable along with the Chipotle versions by tabasco and this brand. BTW - I cannot keep enough of the Tabasco Chipotle in the pantry - always low or running out!

We love all the Cholula sauces. Our refrigerator looks like a Cholula store. Don’t pass on this sauce. It’s different and delicious.

I have never had a hot sauce taste so bad that it made the food inedible because of the hot sauce. I am not sure how this flavor ever made it out their door. The rest of the flavor line up is good to great, In the case of this blend, avoid at all costs. TERRIBLE TASTING hot sauce.

This is hands down the best hot sauce I've ever tasted. I bought two bottles and finished one on my own before my brother and dad ever even knew I had it. I made the mistake of sharing the second bottle, though. And while my dad is set in his ways and only likes plain tobasco, my brother loved it too and that 2nd bottle did not last long at all. Went fantastic on homemade Carnitas tacos, and is excellent on Brazilian BBQ. The tequila can come off as a little styrong if you try it on it's own, but as a topping on food, the alcohol isn't nearly as overwhelming and adds a complexity to my food that I personally loved. Wish I could get it in a much bigger bottle.

I’m sure this is someone’s favorite hot sauce, but it just isn’t for me. It completely changes the nature of regular Cholula sauce. I expected the tequila flavor to be a subtle background note, but it’s very forward, and it weirdly makes the sauce seem almost carbonated. It turns the sauce from a spicy complement to food into a strange flavor laid on top of it, which throws everything off.
