## Questions & Answers

**Q: Where do I find the part number on my thermostat? Looks identical to this but not sure how to check.**
A: If you happen to still have the original user/installation manual for the cylinder then there is usually a spare parts list at the back for the thermostat/cut-out - one of the numbers in the listing should match this e.g. 95612599. Alternatively as mentioned above, the type is stated on the blue cover (something like COTHERM Type: TSE (or TSR) across the centre)

**Q: My stat. has a label on it replace only with tsr stat. what's the difference between tse and tsr.**
A: Apparently TSE has the safety cut out sensor in the head whilst the TSR has it in the rod/stem so I’d assume that the TSR works more quickly if it hits an overheat situation...

**Q: what's the difference between this and this onehttp://www.amazon.co.uk/Cotherm-Replacement-Immersion-Stat-Tse00187/dp/B00GRQYOOO/ref=pd_sim_sbs_diy_3?**
A: About £6. The pictures are identical, so I guess that the thermostat is as well. Ask the supplier if it is a genuine Heatrae Sadia spare part or is it a cheap made in china copy.

**Q: is there a heating element that goes with this part? I need to replace the immersion as I think it burnt out from being left on permanently previously**
A: Yes there is an element which you should be able to locate using the info on the side of your heating tank. The good thing is you can replace the thermostat first and if it still does not warm up you may then have to replace the element. If so I would have a plumber / electrician to do it as you could damage the tank itself.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ tank stat.
*by M***E on 8 February 2021*

Nice product does the job very well. simple to fit, good idea to check emersion heater resistance (should be around 19 ohm for 3000w) & continuity before fitting the thermostat. set temp to No. 4 = around 65 deg.
