I just love it!!!

Ending up buying this as a birthday present for my daughter since I owned ones as a kid myself. Took her a minute to figure it out, but once it hatched she immediately loved it even more and started taking care of it. She wanted to be more responsible and this was a great fit!

Got this for my 9 year old daughter and she's having a blast taking care of her electronic pet. I personally appreciate having my children enjoy playtime with an internet-free electronic device.

Kids loved it. Very retro. It’s a digital pet and functions exactly like the ones from the 90s. Arrived new and in good condition, on time.No complaints (except when it beeps constantly but that is kind of the point!)

Having had one of these back in 1997, I can safely say everything is as expected and good! I've seen bad reviews about the tama going off every 5 seconds, but that's just the baby stage and it only lasts about an hour. I have heard complaints about it being loud, and those are accurate. I don't remember it being that loud in 97, but when you're a kid, loud noises don't bother you as much. The sounds on these are loud enough to interrupt conversation. I even saw a complaint implying someone had received a defective one because there was no backlight and had a good "elder millenial" laugh at that.Most of my complaints revolve around comparisons with the Tamagotchi Connection, which I bought in 2004 and kept and rebooted recently. The icons on the Original re-release are in a weird order, the gage is not organized nearly as neatly on the screen, and most important of all the buttons on the Original are not nearly as responsive as the ones on the Connection. The buttons thing is probably my biggest complaint and besides that I think it's good!

My one complaint with the P1 is the one and only game you can play with your tama is completely luck based. It's a guessing game with zero skill involved. That being said, I adore this shell and it's nostalgic for me.

My 35 year old remembered this from when she was younger. Wanted it for Xmas

I got it for my daughter and I low key want it. It’s so pretty! It was worth the wait.
