The Times Ultimate Killer Su Doku Book 6: 120 of the deadliest Su Doku puzzles (The Times Su Doku) Paperback – 1 Dec. 2014

I absolutely love The Times series of killer sudoku and ultimate killer sudoku. The layout of the book is great and the difficulty at times challenging but always enjoyable.I'm yet to find a book which has a durable enough spine to survive the frequent flicks to the cage total indexes, but that really a small pet peeve.Although puzzles increase in difficulty, I have found certainly in the latter half of the book that the puzzles jump around in difficult, but this may be down to individual styles.

Great puzzles.However, book starts to fall apart after prolonged use, especially on holiday.

Book 6 has to be one of the best, even the easier ones are a good challenge. I've enjoyed this best out of all of them. OK some only take 25 minutes when they suggest an hour and a half but that is the same for all the books. The majority of puzzles do take some solving. Recommended. In fact better than the latest (no. 11) which had supposedly more of the very hard puzzles

I like these puzzles because they are very hard and force you to think in new ways. I don't get all of them right but I do get most of them right, which is the ideal situation.

A gift for my husband. Keeps him entertained for hours!

Love it. Can’t do half of them but I so enjoy trying to!! I am so used to the style of the Times killer sudoku that’s probably why I keep buying..I have tried others but always come back to the Times.

Really good challenge for people who do lots of Killers Sudoku and don't want the easy ones!

I am a major fan of killer Sudoku puzzles. For years, my morning routine has been to fix a pot of coffee, print puzzles from killersudokuonline and then spend up to an hour working the puzzles. If you are not similarly addicted or are new to killer sudoku, the Times Ultimate books are NOT the place to start. These are tougher puzzles intended for people with experience working them.I buy the Times books for travel. The handy size is great for airports, planes and hotel rooms. I’ve purchased all of them and each is an improvement over the last both in print quality and difficulty. In the past I have bemoaned the fact that up to half of the puzzles in the book were too easy for an experienced puzzler. I did not find that to be the case with book six. I always skip the early puzzles (anything that shows less than an hour solve time) but there seemed to be fewer of those in this book than in others. Although the “solve time” is the same as other books, they seemed much more difficult to me. Admittedly I was severely sleep deprived on my recent trip which tends to make puzzles more difficult. But experienced solvers know that you can usually “see” the pattern that tips you off on where to begin. I had trouble seeing the pattern even on puzzles that showed only an hour and twenty minutes solve time- and which usually really only take about 15 minutes to complete. For me this was great. If a puzzle isn’t a challenge, it isn’t any fun.These Times books are nice because you have plenty of blank space on the pages to make notes and do the math. And the last several have had a decent print quality and font, making it easy to keep the grids straight. I was concerned that a new book wouldn’t be printed in time for my next trip but I see that for some reason “Book 7” was actually published last October. Don’t know how I missed it, but now I know that I’m set :)

I have many books of Ultimate Killer Su Doku and I love it. I Never tried Killer Su Doku series. Does anyone know which one is harder?
