I wanted to leave a review since I had read reviews of this fan before I made my purchase and wanted to share my experience with it after using it for two weeks. It arrived in the Dreo box with full description so if you live in an area with a lot of porch pirates you may want to make sure you're home when it's delivered. It was easy to assemble. My old eyes didn't line up the slots from the base to the fan but it wasn't difficult to move it around until it clicked. It is a little wobbly with an empty tank and even when the water tank is full it does wobble a little, but if there is no chance of people running into it then it isn't a big deal. I think you would have to hit it kind of hard to make it tip over. There was a plastic/electrical smell like you get with many electronics but after the first week that pretty much went away. I am a light sleeper so the noise level was a concern for me. It is louder than a regular fan of the same make and I think that is due to the evaporation method it uses. I sleep with it on level 1 and it isn't too bad but I don't think I'd sleep well on the max level. The remote functions well and also works on my Rowenta fan, interestingly enough. I have used both regular ice and the cold packs that came with the fan with water and I think the water and ice works a little better for cooling. With me keeping fresh ice in it and after 4 or more hours I have brought the temperature down just over 4 degrees. I can see if you lived in a humid area this fan may not work as well. It is bigger than it appears in the picture but not too huge. The instructions say that you can unclip the pump from the reservoir and fill it at the sink, which I tried, but there is no way to clip the pump back in without reaching you hand through the water and getting wet. I just fill a pitcher with water and ice and fill the tank with that. Overall it is a good product and works as decribed.

I love the variable speeds of the fan. It is quiet and puts out more air than my rotary fans. The only problem is how humid it makes my bedroom if used as a cooler. I refrigerate the water and use the ice packs, but if I use the highest fan speed the water evaporates very rapidly and makes the bedroom too humid.

1. Can you buy replacement ice packs? - It doesn't matter. The ice packs just get tossed in the water tank. Any lunchbox-sized ice packs will do the trick. Ice cubes are even better. 2. Is there any light that you can't turn off? - No. If you plan on sleeping with this in your room the screen becomes 100% dark. The button lights turn on when you touch them and then time out in about 2 min. 3. Will it cool an entire room? - Kind of. I use it in a 10x10 room and it will drop the temp a few degrees after several hours. That said, it is AMAZING as a fan blowing on you or in your direction as the air coming out is noticeably cold and refreshing. 4. How long does the water tank last? - On the highest setting the water tank runs out in about 5 hours and then it just becomes a normal fan. On the lowest setting it can last a full 8 hour night with no issues. It lasts longer if you use ice cubes instead of ice packs because as they melt they don't displace water. We live in AZ, it's about 110 outside, humidity about 20%, and the house AC is set at 80. This thing is a GODSEND - it's easy to move from the office to the kitchen to the bedroom and makes the immediate space around it significantly more comfortable. Buy it.

The fan itself was actually good. It was super cold even from far away, it is still way more quiet than my old fan even at top speed, however some people have said it lowers the room temperature and that is false, my room is very small and it does not lower it. However it still is very cold. The water evaporation part I'm not really sure if it does much to the fan (I didn't feel much difference with or without) I used ice packs and ice still nothing much, however it is a cool way to make your room smell nice (I put essential oils in the water) however to the reason I had to return this... they somehow forgot to give me the base? I'm not sure how you could ship a fan without the base of it but they did indeed manage to do so, and the dreo support staff werent very helpful and all theyll say is to go through amazon, meanwhile amazon tells you to go through dreo.. Overall it's a great fan but the fact they didn't ship the base really annoyed me which is the reasoning for my low rating. So if you actually manage to get what you ordered than I'd say the fan is a good 4/5.

I bought this swamp cooler to make my second story bedroom liveable in the summer. It gets up to about 90°f where I live with average humidity of 58-60%, I live in the East Bay, California. During the day I can sit right next to the Dreo and it allows me to be able to be in the room comfortably. At night it really works great to escape the long heat all day and not be hot in bed. It's great to sleep next to. You have to keep the window open during the day for it to work right but overall I'm happy I've bought this and it does blow cold air, less so in the day but it's noticeable that it's cold. Update- I decided to keep the Dreo because I noticed at night time it's an absolute life saver and enhancer. It's like sitting next to an a/c all night long, I keep it on level 2 and it barely uses any water. It's just awesome after a hot day to not have to sleep in a hot bed.

Not the quality I expect from Dreo. I bought this to use intermittently with the ice packs and just as a fan at other times, which is ok per their instructions. But, it seems too top-heavy to me when there's no water & ice packs in the big tank at its base. I'm not a fan of the water tank assembly either. So, I tried to remove the base to return it, only the base won't come off. It's one of those click-on ones, but releasing the clips and turning the arrows towards Open didn't work. Trying to remove the base may have damaged the fan so off to the dump it goes.

Best investment over the summer. This thing packs a punch and makes an instant difference for me right now as my AC is broken at the moment. This thing can cool me down completely in under a minute and if I turn it off I'm already sweating a minute later. The last tower fan I got was a Honeywell and that thing was junk so I was skeptical of this thing. Glad I got the warranty because I definitely plan on using this a bunch for years to come.

After trying multiple options this one by far the best and my favourite. So quiet and efficient, does a great job in cooling down the room quickly

En 6 meses de búsqueda no había encontrado un producto que Humidificara, Enfriara y Ventile a la vez, muy buena compra. Tiene el mismo el mismo nivel de ruido que los ventiladores de torre "normales". No es silencioso, pero tampoco ruidoso. Se termina muy rápido el tanque de agua, aproximadamente una 4 horas le ha de durar, pero en verdad enfría y humidifica la habitación en la que se encuentre.

para calor de la tarde no sirve sopla mas aire del exterior que el ventilador gasta mucha agua se requiere mucho hielo el compartimiento ni siquiera esta diseñado para que conserve el frio mas tiempo es muy complejo estar poniéndole agua el deposito es muy complejo de abrir y cerrar hay otros modelos mas prácticos que solo tienen una tapa para vaciar el agua y listo, la potencia de aire es muy débil hay que estar enfrente del ventilador para que se sienta el aire fresco, se tambalea con el movimiento natural oscilatorio, el producto en general es muy caro, no lo recomiendo. No cumple ni para ventilar ni para aire fresco.
