I'm 52 and can't afford treatments like Botox and fillers so this is the next most effective option for me. This is one of the only brands that has 0.3% pure retinol that is sustainable in the chemical blend they've made. I am a huge fan of tretinol or tretinoid which is the origin of retinol and mainly used as an acne medication, but you need a prescription for it. I was only taking a dose of 0.25% of it. The L'Oreal is one of only over the counter Retinols that is next best effective retinol on the market due to my research and opinion in Canada. If you have not used it before it can be very drying and can easily irritate sensitive skin, so start lightly or only do it every few nights. And build up a tolerance. There is a slight smell, I had to smell it to see if there was one for this review, it is not perfumy. And absolutely never wear it in the sun/day you'll do more damage to your skin. This is a for life life serum. You you should add a good mosturizer and vitamin C serum to get great results. if you can get the prescription go for it, if not it's the next best. I was really skeptical about trying another product to remedy my very deep forehead and jowl wrinkles. I’m so glad I tried it! It’s been a few weeks and I see a significant difference not only in the wrinkle depth, but in the enlarged pores I had nasal labial area! This one really works. I was surprised that I was peeling which has never happened with other brands of retinol. Normally it only happens using tretinoin. This one is not for daily use of course.
