I purchased this in October 2016 and it is good until 2018 which is good since it will take us quite awhile to finish this large bag. It is a much better value than purchasing a box of tea bags. **Q: The product on this page is yerba mate tea but many of the reviews are for other types of tea - what's up with that?**
A: Because they offer multiple kinds of teas, the reviews are a mix for the various teas. You can click on one of the keywords under the photos, just above the reviews. That way you can see the reviews that mention the type of tea you are interested in reading about.

**Q: How good of a cup of tea will this make and is it strong I have a hard time sleeping and need it strong?**
A: It is really good.  I steep the tea in half cup of hot water for about five to 10 minutes before I go to bed.  I use a tablespoonful of Chamomile flowers and a teaspoonful of bullock tea as my sleeping aid.  They both have been helping me greatly.  They both taste really good too.  Good luck!

**Q: how many cups of tea can you get from a pound of chamomile flowers?**
A: If you assume double infusions you can get 200+ cups. It can very greatly depending on your own taste preference. Some people like chamomile tea to be very mild and use very small amount, others follow our recommendation. Because this is such a big bag, some customers are inclined to use too much chamomile flowers (that happens pretty often).

**Q: Can i use this on my skin as a face mask?**
A: To use this product as a facial mask, first make a reasonably strong tea. Strain the tea into a clear vessel (I like mason jars) and let stand for a few hours. Decant the tea from the fine sediment that inevitably falls to the bottom of the glass (dust and cellulose mainly). Reheat the tea and add agar to thicken. Experiment with the amount of agar it takes to get the consistency how you like it. Apply as a mask. Good luck.

Note: Calendula tea is the most wonderful thing possible for soothing your skin. Usually (depending on use) results will be seen within hours. Use it as a simple face wash for cleansing and tonifying. Use it before bed and your skin will feel amazing in the morning. Use it as a head wash for dandruff or an irritated scalp. Use anywhere there is irritated skin. Strain finely and use it to wash wounds (incl. those that refuse to heal).

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yerba is the Leader of Caffeinated Plants

This ranks as the best yerba mate I have found on the market. It is air dried (no smoky taste, eliminates carcinogens) and with no stems (dilutes concentration of yerba compounds but does add characteristics that some people like). Others should not judge mates based on powder content; powder content thickens mouth feel, thickens the body and enhances chemical extraction for the brew. This is why I always powderize (like matcha) yerba mate, coffee, and cacao when brewing. It is my opinion that yerba mate is the most powerful, adaptogenic and mind enhancing caffeinated plant on Earth. Green tea, coffee and cacao are also amazing and rank as some of the most powerful plants on the planet. When you really look at each individual leaf particle up close, the premium grade can be seen. Each leaf is extremely lush in appearance and the chlorophyl is evident in the rich green color. It is not necessarily superior to some of the other yellow Argentinian type mates, which I also love dearly (as long as they are air dried and no stem), but it does offer a nice contrast for variation. The mouthfeel is very thick like most Brazilian mates are. There is a sweetness, complexity in flavor and relative mildness to the bitter for this one. I would highly recommend this product! It is a 10/10 for me. People need to be aware that most mate drinking people, use mate with an abundance of dust. I am sure many guards (bowls South Americans drink mate out of) out there could have anywhere from 500-1000 mg of caffeine with the amount that many use. That is alot of tablespoons. Not recommending that much. It is probably better to use the same tablespoons of yerba that you would for coffee. A teaspoon or two is not enough for the full effect and flavor. I am just happy to have this mate offered with no stems, as to maximize the caffeine in the brew. I enjoy the ritual of grinding it up myself.
