Alum (Fitkari) is a chemical compound and in English known as Potash alum/ Potassium alum/ Potassium aluminum sulfate with chemical formula KAl(SO4)2. In India, this natural stone popular with Hindi names Fitkari, Phitkari, and Saurashtra. Here are five benefits of alum: As an aftershave lotion: Fitkari helps stop bleeding from shaving cuts, helps to heal the skin, and adds a natural glow to it. It also has natural toning and skin tightening action, which is good for people older than 50 years of age and that’s when the skin begins to sag with age. For bad breath: Add one gram of alum and a pinch of rock salt to a glass of warm water, stir till they are dissolved, then rinse the mouth with it. Do not drink it: as it can make you nauseous. For bleeding gums, weak teeth, and dental caries: Make a paste of one gram of alum, a pinch of cinnamon, and some rock salt. Gently massage this on the gums and then wash the mouth. Along with this treatment, drink barley grass juice daily for its gum-healing antioxidants and calcium. For nose bleeds: Soak a cotton ball in cold water, sprinkle one gram of fitkari (alum) on it, and press it to the site of nose bleed for few seconds. Do not close both nostrils at the same time. As a water purifier: Alum is one of the most ancient ways to ensure that drinking water is clean. A pinch of alum added to water removes the solid impurities. Once the sediment is thrown away, the water is boiled to kill bacteria. ## Features - As an aftershave: it is being used as an aftershave for centuries. Take some alum and rub it thoroughly all over the freshly shaved face when the skin is still wet. Its astringent qualities will control bleeding from small shaving cuts and thus, prevent infection. - Uses of alum :for treating canker sores(Ulcers): alum can be used for treating canker sores. Simply, take a and apply it on the affected area. It will bring down the pain and heal up the sores quite fast. - It is Used For Treatment Of Water For Making It Safe To Drink And Use For Other Purposes. - For reducing body odor: it controls body odor. It can be applied directly on the perspiring areas of the body. As it is soluble in water, it mixes up with the sweat and stop the growth of bacteria that causes body odor. - Premium Quality Handmade 100% Natural Alum. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09PZ28VSR | | ASIN | B09PZ28VSR | | Active Ingredients | Dimethicone | | Best Sellers Rank | #3,891 in Health ( See Top 100 in Health ) #2 in Shaving Alum | | Brand Name | Lazybeee | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars (306) | | Customer reviews | 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars (306) | | Item Form | Bar | | Item Nype Name | Fitkari | | Item Volume | 100 Milliliters | | Item Weight | 100 Grams | | Manufacturer | Lazybeee | | Manufacturer | Lazybeee | | Manufacturer Part Number | Alum_pack_of_2 | | Manufacturer reference | Alum_pack_of_2 | | Material Features | Natural | | Material Type Free | chemicals free | | Number of Items | 1 | | Package Size Name | Pack of 2 | | Product Benefits | Astringent for skin and mouth health | | Product Dimensions | 5 x 5 x 5 cm; 100 g | | Recommended Uses For Product | dryness | | Scent Name | Ylang Ylang | | Skin Type | All | | Unit Count | 200 Grams | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Lazybeee - **Item form:** Bar - **Product benefits:** Astringent for skin and mouth health - **Recommended uses for product:** dryness - **Skin type:** All ## Images ![Alum Whole Piece - Each 100 Gms - White Phitkari | Fitkari | Natural Alum Stones (Pack of 2) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/518TFfko4mL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - Lazybeee Alum Whole Piece - Each 100 Gms - White Phitkari | Fitkari | Natural Alum Stones (Pack of 2) - immy Phitkari Alum Stone Fitkari (450g) - minature Pack Of 2 Alum Bar(Potassium Alum)(Phitkari) By Mi Nature|Alum Stone (Fitkari)||100G*2|100% Pure Alum|Nothing Added|Pure & Natural --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/508024843-alum-whole-piece-each-100-gms-white-phitkari-fitkari-natural](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/508024843-alum-whole-piece-each-100-gms-white-phitkari-fitkari-natural) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
