**Q: How much is needed for opening of pool?  Then what is needed for a weekly dose?**
A: Depends upon season, amount of water in pool, and weather algae visible or not, and if stabilizer present.  This product isn't for daily chlorination, but rather of weekly super chlorination in warmer months, and shock treatment if algae visible.  Must know approx how many gallons of water in pool.  Would start by measuring pool dimensions, then go to pool store for water test and initial help.
