This sliced pack is super convenient, for sandwiches, toasties (melts well), crackers and even as a salad or pasta toping as its possible to crumble it. I tried the Cathedral City Plant Based Mature Cheddar Flavour Vegan Block (280g) at £2.30. It’s a decent dairy-free alternative if you’re after a cheddar-style taste. The flavour is fairly mild but still has that “mature” feel, though not exactly like real cheese. The slices are handy for sandwiches and toasties, and they melt reasonably well. It’s not amazing, but it does the job if you’re vegan or cutting dairy. For the price, it feels fair and I’d probably buy it again now and then.

Best mature cheddar taste in vegan cheese that I’ve tried so far. I love mature cheddar but too much dairy upsets my stomach and also trying to reduce all dairy so these are a good substitute. They are usually too mild tasting for me but these are good. Don’t smell like mature cheddar but not that bad.

I’ve recently become dairy free and this is one of the better cheese alternatives. It actually has a flavour of cheese but still tastes artificial.
