I am a 6ft man with 32" waist and 42" chest what size would you suggest for a fancy dress?

I would probably get a large size.

how high is the split at the front?

Not too high. Not as bad as it looks in the pic!

Is the back of the dress totally opaque? Don't want to be the talk of the party if its see through 😁

Yes, the back of the dress is like the front, black stretchy material in a lowish 'v' cut. I wanted my upper arms covered so put a lace arm sleeve underneath and it worked very well.
