This is an excellent router with all the accessories which are needed for such a versatile router I am so sorry that I waited as I have 3 other routers one is a Makita and one is a De Walt and the third is a trend which I am struggling to say was the most costly it was the T 14 it is the one that was designed for the router table a really nice router that has everything but I must say that this Makita palm router is just the best I I can highly recommend this beautiful router almost all of my tools are Makita they are such a fantastic maker.

Very easy to use, I bought all the accessories to enable different angles of use etc. Very light, very portable, small. Great for use with Makita batteries, although is heavier the higher the amp of battery you use e.g. 3Amp should be lighter than 5Amp but still easy enough to use one handed with care!

Great tool and complements my 1/2" router which I have attached to my router table. Using an existing 5amp battery so easily copes with all my 1/4" bits. Very confusing on which size collet is supplied with the tool.

With this kit you get all you could possibly need from a small trim router. Battery and charger are extra but was not a problem for me. The quality of the included items is amazing. As a DIYer I never thought I would own a Makita but this kit was better value than the cheaper brands and I can see why people like them so much. The soft start and battery lock features are excellent and the dust collection for the fixed base unit was the best of any tool I own. Dust escapes the plunge router base nozzle a bit but that is much harder to collect anyway, and improving my vacuum cleaner would probably help. Al the parts fit together so well and the tool is well balanced in use There is even room for the battery & charger in the supplied case.

Only used a few times now, but a great tool. I had the opposite problem from many of the reviewers. Instead of the supplied collet being too small, it seems slightly too big. Not even noticeable by eye, but despite tightening as much as i felt reasonable, the 1/4 router bit would keep slipping. Kept wondering why the depth of cut was changing until i noticed, thankfully before it dropped fully out. I had already ordered a 1/4 collet after reading the reviews before purchase, so i inserted that one and have had no problems. The collet was from amazon also, Makita 763637-1 Collet Cone 1/4" .

An excellent machine, much better than the old router it replaces.

Review is for the delivery. The Makita box was placed upside down inside an Amazon box with the bar & two arrows for this way us. Fortunately the router is neither fragile and Makita include a carboard buffer over the top of the contents; so when the tops is packed as the bottom, the contents are protected. Yet another example of Amazon's delivery being very sub-par. Item review to follow when batteries received.

Recensisco questo rifilatore dopo 5 mesi dall'acquisto e dopo averlo usato svariate volte. Inizio subito con il dire che sono veramente rimasto sorpreso dalla sua potenza, pur essendo a batteria è impressionante. Con una batteria originale makita da 5ah è inarrestabile, è ovvio che la batteria non durerà moltissimo, soprattutto in base alla velocità impostata e alla lavorazione che si andrà a fare, ma si ha la comodità di non avere fili che intralciano, e questo è valido anche quando si usa l'aspirazione perché c'è solo il tubo di quest'ultima e credetemi che è comodissimo. Porto un paio di esempi sulla durata della batteria: Ho fatto una fresata lunga 30cm larga 5cm e profonda 4mm e la batteria ha perso soltanto una tacca in circa 10 minuti d'uso. In un'altra occasione ho fresato una superficie di circa 60x40cm per abbassarla di 8mm in 4 passate, lavoro fatto con 1 sola batteria la quale alla fine (dopo circa 25min) questa volta aveva ancora una sola tacca residua e infatti i giri iniziavano a calare, ma secondo me sono comunque risultati veramente ottimi. È ovvio che bisogna avere a disposizione almeno 2 o più batterie e con almeno 4-5ah per lavorare tranquilli, nel mio caso non è un problema perché tutto quello che ho che funziona a batteria è makita 18v, infatti oltre ad avere tante batterie ho anche il seghetto alternativo, la smerigliatrice angolare, 3 diversi aspirapolvere, 5 avvitatori, 1 tassellatore la radio Bluetooth ecc. Tutto makita 18v e ne sono stracontento. La dotazione è veramente completa e comprende: valigetta con contenitore in stoffa (top per tenere separate le basi) 4 basi, guida laterale e per tagli circolari, i diversi accessori per aspirazione, 2 anelli a copiare, 2 pinze da 6 e da 8mm. Guida per copiare con Cuscinetto. In questo kit "DRT50ZJX3" non è compresa nessuna batteria e neanche il caricabatterie. La macchina è eccezionale sotto tutti i punti di vista, i 2 led illuminano alla perfezione la zona di taglio ed è una gran comodità, l'ergonomia come da tradizione makita è ottima, i pulsanti di sblocco, avvio-arresto, e la rotella di regolazione dei giri sono facilmente raggiungibili, la macchina inoltre fa veramente poco rumore anche rispetto alla già silenziosa versione 220v RT0700 (che ho provato) questo è notevolmente più silenzioso grazie al motore brushless. In generale prendendo in mano la macchina con le sue basi si avverte subito la sensazione di precisione, anche quando si va a inserire il blocco motore nelle varie basi è subito ben chiaro che le tolleranze sono state calcolate alla perfezione. La guida laterale fornita nel kit è solo la versione "base" e pur permettendo di fare tutte le diverse lavorazioni va detto che pone dei grossi limiti non solo per le sue ridotte dimensioni ma soprattutto per la scarsa precisione, non ha infatti la regolazione micro metrica, se vi serve una certa acuratezza è necessario acquistare a parte la versione più precisa che costa circa 50€. L'unica vera pecca per me è la leva di blocco-sblocco della base a tuffo, per le mie mani (molto grandi) risulta troppo piccola e secondo me potrebbe essere più lunga e con una forma diversa, comunque credo che quando scadrà la garanzia con una modifica riuscirò a renderla più ergonomica per me. È vero che costa, ma la qualità qui è indiscutibile, questo è uno dei migliori, se non il migliore piccolo rifilatore sul mercato in rapporto alle prestazioni /dotazione e al prezzo, io mi ritengo fortunato perché ho pagato questo kit qui su Amazon solo 279€ (prezzo imbattibile) Ma anche se lo avessi pagato di più non cambierebbe la mia totale soddisfazione.
