REMOS Stoma Scissors Made of Stainless Steel for Cutting the Stoma Base Plate

I’m a stoma person too, but I think I prefer scissors that were given when I had my operation, curved and blunt but in a single plane. I lost those to the TSA at Manchester airport as they were slightly too long to allow in my cabin baggage. Grrr These are quite fine in structure, short , curved yes with a ‘nobble’ at the end to prevent stabbing the bag. My subjective preference so I won’t mark them down.

Excellent quality and great for cutting stoma base plates.

They do a good job cutting my base plates. Going by other reviews here, yes the tips of the blades can be a bit sharp, but you just learn to remember that and cut in a manner that utilizes the ends of the blades. The action is solid and reliable.

As someone who has got a stoma and using bags I found these scissors excellent at cutting out the baseplate, so far have kept sharpness .Very effective .Definitely good value for money

Ordered these as the pair of scissors provided by the hospital were blunt and straight which led to me creating a rough edged circle in the base plate (I say circle more like 15 sided object). When I received these the difference was remarkable and the first use I was almost able to cut out the shape in one go, with a smooth edge. The blunt end mean I have no worry about piercing the bag when using them. I happily prepared another 14 bags.

Cutting the plastic plate like paper and the round tip or one end really helps to stop damage to the stoma bag.

This is the second pair I have bought, lost the last ones. The quality is good, they are sharp and the design is absolutely correct. They are not cheap but you pay for what you get. I would buy again, if I needed to.

Maneggevoli, abbastanza robuste, di ottima fattura e qualità, queste forbici sono facili da utilizzare e grazie alle lame ricurve rendono il taglio della piastra di base dell’ileostomia pratico e più uniforme rispetto alle classiche forbicine per unghie. Consigliatissime a chiunque debba usarle per lo stesso motivo. Io, per il taglio della placca, non posso più farne a meno!
