ASUS Chromebook 14 CX1400CMA Full HD Chromebook (Intel Celeron N4020, 4GB RAM, 64GB eMMC, Google Chrome OS)

Got this for £139 with payments over 6 months. 21-11-23. I charged it straight away and you will know when it's charged as the light goes from red to white. 2 minutes to set up and if I can set it up then anyone can set it up. For a capital letter - press shift and your letter - easy. For stuff you can't find straight away - press on the time, bottom right off your screen and that will take you to where you need to go. Camera - very good. Volume is not the best but it's not poor either. I charged it last night and it's still on near full capacity, 12 hours later. Granted, I wasn't on it much but still good to know. I won't need to have my desktop on all day now saving on the electric bill. I go to a caravan park twice a year with no internet access. As far as I'm aware, I can transfer my mobile data on to this laptop - perfect. If you're a parent and you're not rich then as a child I would be very happy if I was opening this on Christmas Day but that's just my opinion. I was tempted to get an Apple laptop at £799 for my first laptop but I thought - why? I've had this a day and for the price, I will be shocked if something drastically goes wrong.

my kids love these, easy to set up and use good battery life keeps charge for ages before needing a recharge good value for money

Chromebooks are brilliant for kids. Fantastic value, they do what most people need from a computer very well, no virus updates to worry about etc. This particular laptop seems good quality, has a clear/crisp screen and runs very fast.

I was a bit worried purchasing a recon laptop but needn’t have been! Its excellent! Great size screen, very easy to set up and no problems at all with it and saved myself a fair amount of money compared to buying a new one

I bought this after the battery started to swell and distort the case in my 14 inch HP Chromebook. I was well pleased with the HP Chromebook and I have subsequently bought a replacement battery for it, but I must say I find this better and is the one I use most of the time. The sound quality on this and the HP are clear and fine for my use. The real difference is in the better screen resolution.

Good

Unable to use, difficulty in trying to connect to printer and unable to transfer pictures. Had to return the item.

Y'ALL. I need everybody to hear me out because this seller tried it. 🚩🚩🚩 So I get this Chromebook for my grandson's birthday, showed up on time on 06/17/2026, cute, no complaints there. But then we go to use it and it will NOT charge. Won't power on. Nothing. A whole "new" laptop DOA for a kid's birthday. I'm sorry, what?? So now I'm out here returning it myself, shipped it back 07/03/2026, they signed for it 07/04/2026 and paid for that postage with MY OWN MONEY. For a product THEY messed up. Not once did they offer to cover that. Silence. Crickets. 🦗 Then the refund? Never came. Had to pull Amazon in like "handle this" because this seller was NOT gonna do it on their own. Ghosted me completely. AND THEN after making me chase my own money down, they short me $25 on the refund like I wasn't gonna check my bank account?? Sir/Ma'am. I see you. I SEE what you did. 👀 This is not a "mistake," this is a pattern. Broken product, no accountability, dodge the refund, then still try to skim off the top when they finally pay up. Nah. Zero stars if I could. Do not give this seller your money, literally go anywhere else, they are not the one or the two..
