'll Last a lifetime...
This is my favorite garlic press ever. This purchase was actually a gift for some friends because I like mine so much. My original Rosle press was a gift to me (I picked it out) 8 years ago. Mine is still running strong and looks like it did on day one. Cleans easily, presses fast and well, and the automatic wiper makes a multiple clove job a cinch. Good leverage with the size of the handles and the design of the contoured "cam" action. No more tooth picks trying to clean out clogged press holes, and it hasn't broken in my hands like others have. Well worth it.

good quality
I like the older version that's similar to this better, but this one works well too. Easy to clean, use and it's durable. I also like that's it doesn't have a coating that chips off like other brands.

I bought the $50 model and it is far and away the best press I've ever owned.
I bought the $50 model which is made with the highest quality material. It weighs more than any press I've ever owned and I suspect it will last a lifetime. More importantly it does a fantastic job. I bought this because the press I have (and it's top rated) left more garlic behind than it successfully processed. The Rosle left almost nothing behind, virtually the entire clove is able to be used. I highly recommend it.

Waste of garlic (and money)
This gets more than 0 stars because it technically presses garlic. But holy moly, this has got to be the most unnecessarily complicated garlic press I have ever seen. Me taking the time to even write a review speaks volumes about how frustratingly incompetent this garlic press is. And I wouldn't even been that angry if I hadn't spent far too much money on this thing (it is heavy duty, I will give it that) thinking it would be an upgrade from my $6 Ikea garlic press that broke (spoiler: it wasn't). The issue is that a) there are far too many moving parts, and b) because of this, the garlic squirts out in between all of these parts. I swear, I lose 50% of each clove to getting jammed in between the the seven different hinges. Be warned, if you buy this garlic press, you will need to press an additional 50% MORE garlic for each recipe to account for how much of it gets stuck in the umpteen nooks and crannies in this thing. Avoid.

Very sturdy and can mince anything
I can decide if I like it or not. It is a little finicky to clean, as you have to flip up the grater and also manipulate the legs quite a bit. I’m able to put unpeeled garlic in it, and it does pulverize it. But picking out the paper after each clove is a bummer. I just think there’s no easy garlic solution, that preserves the taste the way whole cloves do

Finally... a virtually perfect garlic press!
I have long struggled on my quest to get the perfect garlic press. So mundane, but so important. I found one good product decades ago that was cast aluminum solid construction and it worked well. Unfortunately, the rivet holding the handle to the base broke and I was forced to put a bent nail to hold it together. It worked, but it looked pretty pitiful. Models appeared along the way, but could not measure up to this solid purchase. Along came the Roesle products. I had purchased a peeler that was solid and well constructed. So I opted to finally replace my old press for its version. It also featured a "cleaning" option. This product is spectacular! It is not only solidly constructed as a stainless steel press, but the pressure I am able to exert on the pressing action is so much better... it has a better mechanical advantage than my treasured older one. Moreover, the cleaning option is simply a movement of the straining part of the press to be available for direct cleaning. So the difficulty removing the leftover fibrous part of the clove is eliminated. The material can be easily rinsed off (or in some cases the material can be easily added to the stew pot if appropriate). The archaic effort to unclog the micro-holes of my old press with a toothpick or needle simply goes away. Any remnants stuck in the holes of the exposed part will reliably wash off in the dishwasher. Trust me that it is worth the price if you regularly use garlic like we do. No more of the, "Jeez, should I add another clove or two" decision. It is so easy, you make the right choice every time. While I don't go to the extent that some have said about not peeling the clove, I do at least cut off the attachment end of the clove (and then you can leave the paper on the clove) before putting it in the press. I am a happy Roesle garlic press user!

The 2018 version easily the best
I eat garlic every day as a matter of good health. I have worn out scores of ordinary presses. I own both the older and the newer 2018 Rosle presses. Both are exceptional , but the newer 2018 model is better. The new model screen locks into place whereas with the old model you had to hold it in place with your thumb. The new model has a curved ,deeper screen which allows the press handles to come closer at the start of the press making it an easier, one handed operation. Finally the scraper works perfectly allowing you to eliminate using a knife and having to clean an extra utensil .compairativly in the press world , there is no equal to the Rosle 2018 press. I peel my garlic cloves , but it will press the garlic unpeeled. It can go in the dishwasher, but it cleans up just fine by running it under water in the sink after use. Thank you Rosle this one is perfection.

Built with quality material but it is mechanically very hard to press even the garlic is peeled. I don't reccomend it.

Over engineering that make sense.

Väldigt bra och lättrensad. Lägger men i för mycket vitlök på en gång så väller den över.

Måste vara designad av en ingenjör, eftersom detta är en mästerlig produkt.
