Original Key Cutter Tool Stainless Steel Cutting Pliers Professional Use

I took a few key blanks to get good at it, but the ones I didn't mess up work just fine in the intended locks. Probably cheaper to just have a hardware store do it where they have to absorb the costs of any mistakes if you only have one or two keys you need, but if you don't know how many times you'll need it, this is a handy addition to your tool kit.

It's the real deal! Honestly I was expecting a knock off at this price, but what I received is an original Lishi. Mr Lishi's profile on the cutter says at all for me. It cuts great and solidly built.

The key cutter arrived really fast, which was a plus. It does cut keys, but it’s not as precise as I expected so it wasn't able to open the lock, I had to do some unexpected filing work to get it to fit the lock properly. It’s capable of cutting a key, but just be aware you might need extra adjustments for a perfect fit.

I bought this specifically to copy my various padlock keys. I have multiple padlocks and wanted an additional spare key for each. Getting keys made at a local lock smith or a big box store is a less than ideal but I didn’t want to buy an electric key cutter for a handful of keys. Line up the keys properly and use a pair of vice grips to keep them together. I’ve never hand cut a key before but I was successful copying the keys I needed. I watched a YouTube video, followed the guy’s advice and it worked.

Was looking forward to a new tool While attempting to utilize this manual key cutter / nibbler. When copying a KW1 key on the first cut the nibbler tooth sheared off and hit me in my glasses. Sounded like the ping of an M1 Garamd. I work with metal, this appears to be poor quality forge. Chinesium at its best.

Not really a quality tool, binds up when opening half the time. The notch is a bit more square than keys are usually cut. Super hard to get a house key exact for it to work without taking the tumbler out and watching how far the pins are sticking up so you know what is binding.

May work for other but did not work for me.
