Charger Cradle Charging Dock for Samsung Gear Live Smart Watch Black

I actually purchased this quite a long time ago and it still works to this day!

The cradle works perfect. Samsung would not warranty the OEM cradle when the poorly designed tab broke, so the watch was a brick. This part works perfect. 5 stars for an inexpensive solution to poor quality and worse customer service on the part of Samsung!

I bought this as a replacement for the one which came with my Gear Live that, expectedly, broke after almost exactly 4 months of usage. (It broke at one of the plastic 'prongs', unsurprisingly.)The unit received feels cheap and light. It doesn't (perceptibly) flex under squeezing, but it has no real feeling of sturdiness to it. While this would normally be a red flag, I compared the one I got with the watch to the one that I received, and they're basically exactly the same. It's genuine, as far as I can tell.The only difference between the two is that the replacement has a loose USB port. The plug can be inserted but not charging sometimes. It's dependent entirely on position and once it has a good connection it won't randomly lose it, as far as I can tell.Thirty-four US dollars (currently) for a charging dock with such a flimsy design is a pretty bad deal, but it's this or the fakes (if you can find them). Looking at the design, I can't see how the plastic 'clasps' could be replaced with something more reliable that isn't incredibly elaborate, so I don't see this design changing in the future.As an aside, I like the watch, so I tolerate the charger, regardless of what I say here.

First charger broke. The little stub that fit into the hole in the watch broke off and I needed to buy a new charger. This charger damaged the hole in back of the watch, chipped a piece of the watch off. Such that the charger won't stay clicked on now. Terrible design, cheap materials. I have a Asus watch on the way - good price, Android Wear and the charger is a simple magnetic strip, like the MacBook power cord. Loathe Samsung now.

Just broke my gear. I was working and it caught onto my belt loop and poped off. It fell 3 stories and shattered the screen. I knew I should have put a real watch band on. Broke the second day I brought it. That's not why I'm rating this 2 stars. It only has like 12 hours of battery life. I have a wind up watch that goes for 2 days, and a g-shock thats 7 years old that displays all the info this did and its still going strong on the first battery! this was neat and helped me with my phone. not worth the charging hassles and battery life. Earlier this week I had to buy this charger because the prongs that hold it in wore down and didnt hold it on anymore.

I bought this because my original broke one of the tabs off that held it on to charge it. This one I am being very careful with because I don't want to have to buy another. Works just fine. Yes, the tab-locks are a bit delicate, but so are the originals -- that's a design problem with the watch, not with the replacement dock. They should have made the watch charge wirelessly on a pad, sigh.But the dock is fine. It's great to have a spare for now, I carry it around so I can charge anywhere. One nice thing about the watch is it will take a full charge very quickly. And I really, really like my watch, so I wear it all the time.
