Dihl Pull Out Wire Basket Kitchen Larder, Double Layered

I absolutely love this pull-out wire basket! I had an awkward dead space next to my gas cooker that wasn’t being used, and this has completely transformed it into useful storage. I use mine to store vegetables, which has freed up so much cupboard space and helped keep my kitchen much more organised. I also attached a matching kitchen panel to the front, so it blends in perfectly with the rest of my units. You’d never know it wasn’t originally part of the kitchen, and it looks so clean, modern and aesthetically pleasing. Installation was surprisingly straightforward and didn’t take long. The only small downside was that the screws were a little fiddly to fit, but once everything was in place it felt sturdy and worked perfectly. Overall, I’m so pleased with this purchase. It’s made use of space that would otherwise have been wasted, slides in and out smoothly, and has made a real difference to both the look and practicality of my kitchen. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to make the most of every inch of kitchen space.

We wanted this for a gap down the righthand side of our sink in our new fitted kitchen. We have gaps down both sides but the gap on the lefthand side is bigger, so we need a larger one like this for that side. We're very happy with it but it isn't 150mm, as stated, it is narrower than that. If your gap is smaller then this might still fit but if, like our left side, your gap is larger then you might want to find a bigger one. It was fiddly for us to fit as the space is quite tight, but it was simple enough to do. It doesn't come with the front facing, so you will need to supply your own door, or whatever. We had an extra door that we could cut to fit both sides of our sink, so it matches with the rest of our new kitchen. Those spaces would have just been covered up with filler panels and rendered unusable, but this has given us much needed extra storage space.

Very nice amd sturdy. Easy to fit and goor value for money. Can hold a lot of weight and does not bemd easily. Easy to clean and organise.

It is what it says it is, and now we have it fitted, at last into our existing 50cm cupboard. it does work feels kind of ok. However the instructions are just a series of poorly drawn line sketches with no actual instructions. There are measurements but no understanding of what these measurements are. The screws supplied are not what is illustrated, (all countersink rather than pan, and with small nuts for the basket attachment) and are too long if placed one way (They impinge on the runners, even just the nut did on one of them), but unusable with the nut of the basket side... . I lost the nuts repeatedly in the runners and had to undo everything and start again, awkwardly with my head and shoulders squueezed into the cabinet . With the screw and nut that was given, the baskets kept on falling off. I replaced the screws with longer ones and reversed the design so that the nuts were on the basket side and then used a second nut with a washer to hold the nut the basket on between them. This worked... Over 3 hours later. I would not recommend this product if you want to fit it yourself unless you have a lot of patience or a cupboard that has yet to be put together.

The actual basket and mechanism is really good quality. The fitting instructions are rubbish and think you would really struggle to fit this to a unit that was already installed. (we built this into the unit before it was completely built.)

Strong BUT No instructions, although reasonably easy to work out how the cage and runners fit together. No screws to fix the runners to a cabinet shelf. The spec claims the height as 400mm BUT this does not include the runners, when fixed. Total height is nearer 450mm. I had to saw off the decorative finials and bodge the assembly to fit a space of 415mm.

I bought this to go into a tiny cupboard that was difficult to use, until finding this. It is strong, sturdy, and can take a surprising amount of groceries and coffee jars, for a previously hard to use cupboard. The reason I gave this four stars instead of five is it was slightly tricky to get the screws in. It is a very tricky cupboard to access, and a couple of screws have fallen out since installing it, but it still works extremely well without them. I would purchase again.
