How deep can it measure?

See the video, but the short answer is you can measure the high/low of thicknesses from 0 to 2 inches. The instrument will go another 1-3/4 inches, so it can be inserted into something with thickness up to 3-3/4 inches. For above 2" thickness, you will have to "eyeball" the high/low. Alos, there is a metric scale on the back side of the tool.

Un Calibro saldatura eccellente a prezzo eccezionale. Solo qualche anno fa sarebbe costato 10 volte tanto.L'ho verificato con campioni primari SIT e ha superato la taratura.Calibrato con precisione 2%.Non può mancare nel kit per esame visivo della saldatura.Da avere, per ogni welding inspector.

Great for the price

Was a little weary at first because of the price but went with it anyways. Had for a couple of weeks and been getting some pretty good use out of it. Accurate and durable so far. Quality and weight feels good and sturdy. Also came in two days early so that’s a plus.
