Wellness Complete Health Puppy Dry Dog Food, Wholesome Grain Kibble, Natural, Chicken, Oatmeal, and Salmon Recipe, 30 lb Bag

After adopting our lab/boxer mix, Nero, we quickly found out that he was very particular about what he ate. We tried everything, but still he wouldn't eat. We went for a couple of weeks like this. We started worrying and even took him to the shelter/vet and asked what we should do. They only said, "don't worry, he will ear eventually." We tried everything from Eukanuba, to Science diet, you name it we probably tried it. We ended up with a cupboard full of bags that had less than a cup of food taken out of each. He eventually started eating a little, I guess just enough to have something in his stomach, but not nearly the amount he should be eating. It was pretty stressfull, as this was our first time actually owning a dog. It got to the point where we'd walk him, and people would comment about how skinny he was. Sad, I know. Finally someone recommended we try Wellness. Now, I will say that we were a little hesitant at first, because it was a bit on the pricey side. And we really didn't know that much about pet food. We figured, you know, he's a dog, so long as he's not eating table scraps, it shouldn't matter that much (read: we were very ignorant). Boy were we wrong, and since then, we've come a long way. After checking out the Wellness site and really doing some research, we decided that it was worth it. So we bought a little bag to, you know, try it out. Just in case Nero didn't like it. To our surprise, he loved the stuff! Scarfed it down like I've never seen him do before. My boyfriend and I both stood there silently while we watched him eat a whole bowl of food for the first time. Needless to say, after that we went online and bought a whole 30-pound bag. I love that my dog loves this stuff, and I love that it's also good for him. I mean, this stuff is human-grade. HUMAN GRADE! People are also always commenting on how good our dog looks, how shiny his coat is. It's definitely noticeable that he's eating well. We saw his sibling who, sadly, is still in the shelter, and you can tell the difference between the two dogs, just by looking at their coat, and I know it's because of Wellness. And because of that, I will NEVER feed my dog anything else. Ever!

Like several others have reviewed, my puppy suffered horrible diarrhea when I switched her food. I was so disappointed. The quality of this food , the price comparison to other GMO free foods was attractive. I researched it and felt rather guilty for my spontaneous poorly planned switch. As I have learned; the switch should be gradual, this is what I found out: The simplest way to change foods is to blend the old and new foods together for a week or so. Start with a mix that is 25% new food and 75% old. Feed that for two or three days, and if there are no upset tummies or loose stools, increase the blend to a 50/50 mix. Again, feed that for a couple of days, then increase to a 75/25 blend, and finally to 100% new food. If at any stage there is a tummy upset or the dog’s stools become loose, then hold off on increasing the amount of new food in the blend until that problem resolves. If there are no problems at all, it will take a week to ten days to accomplish the switch. ********After having acclimated my puppy to this new food for 3 months now, I am thrilled with the results. She is the picture of health, firm stools, wet nose, super shiny and silky coat. She is black so the dander and dry skin shows up easily with every brushing, but no more since switching to Wellness food. I mix her dry food with the wellness canned puppy food and I will be using the wellness treats to supplement my homemade dog biscuits. I love this food (so does my pup), and the confidence knowing I am feeding her high quality, non-GMO food. I recommend highly, but DO switch SLOWLY! I recommend to the Wellness company to put info on the package about slowly introducing this new food. Their rating would be 5 star across the board if people knew how to switch food properly.

Our dog has eaten this food since she was a puppy! She’s 13 now and super healthy! She hasn’t had any stomach upset or skin issues.

Like the product hate the lies. Guaranteed delivery in 2 days if bought with a certain amount of time as the clock ticked down on amazon, and yet here we are not being delivered within the two-day window! Moving from a 5 start to a 4 star.

My puppies were on Nutri Source which is also a nice food but I wanted something I could get more easily. The first pup I transitioned over to Iams but he tired of it quickly. The positive reviews on Wellness prompted me to try it and I'm very glad I did. He gobbled it down, first bowl. The second pup had a bout of diarrhea, even with me mixing the old and new food together to get her used to it. I'm not sure if the food was the cause as my other dog also had the runs at the same time, but they're doing well now and enjoying their Wellness diet. I love that Amazon has this on prime delivery. I've also switched my cat over to Wellness but he never tells me anything so I'll assume it's acceptable for him. :)

I switched to Wellness brand for my pup early on, and so glad I did. No dyes used for color, just healthy ingredients. My vet even told me, "You have a healthy dog." It's such a nice feeling to know the food you are feeding your pet is so very good for him.

Love this and it's healthy for my dogs

The first time I ordered this off of Amazon, it was great! My puppy loved it! She ate it up. So of course after her food ran out, I ordered it again. When the food arrived, I opened up the bag and noticed that the kibbles are different from the ones I ordered before (even though it's the same brand). The kibbles are flatter and darker in color. I tried to feed them to her anyways but she has no interest in eating them. I went to a local pet shop and picked up the same bag instead and this time the kibbles were like the ones I got in the first batch. Puppy was eating again. I noticed that this isn't the first time that it has happened to someone on Amazon. I'm not sure what it is about the Amazon batch but yup - just beware.

He seems to like it. He at it up very quickly. Was looking for more. Rated 5 stars by top food tester.

We have been feeding our dog this puppy food for half a year. Repurchased every time we ran out.

My dog fell ill and started vomiting and having loose stools after this packet was opened. She has eaten wellness before but looks like this was a bad batch. So disappointing to see a good brand like this is selling food that is not of a good quality or has some defects. The food smelt rancid as well.

One of the best dog foods out there in my opinion. Loved that it was free shipping too!
