TPM 2.0 Encryption Security Module, 20Pin TPM Module for for for 2x10P Standalone Crypto Processor Security Module

Works great. I use on an old pc - i7-6700k on a gigabyte Z170X Gaming motherboard. The pc is too old for the official windows 11 upgrade but this TPM key helped me to bypass that compatibility issue and long story short - I now have windows 11. This chip works well and was instantly recognised without issue

With a bit of perseverance with BIOS, I got an old Gigabyte B250M-DS3H to use TPM 2.0. Perfect as its what I need for Windows 11 install. At first the board didn't recognise it but after enabling and disabling PTT (Intel equivalent to TPM) it eventually got detected. Good enough quality for the money and was amongst the cheapest but has actually worked. There's a blue led on it that displays when the pc is on too. Not too big to cause any clashes with other parts but my TPM socket is at the bottom of the board.

I needed this to comply with upgrade requirements from Windows 10 to 11, as support for 10 ends next year. It's a seven year old system, with a Gigabyte motherboard GA-AB350M-Gaming 3. BIOS is F4, which is an early one. I plugged this in and it was detected by the BIOS. I also checked in Windows (start - run - tpm.msc ). All good. Unfortunately, my CPU does not meet the requirements either (a Ryzen 5 1600). So I've ordered a Ryzen 5 4500 for about £64 and done the necessary BIOS updates to accommodate this.

I bought this to be able to upgrade to Windows 11 and enable secure boot but it does not work on my Gigabyte H81M-S2H motherboard. After much messing about, I could not get the motherboard to recognise it in the BIOS. Not being much of a computer nerd, I bought this one thinking all tpm models ate the same, which I now realise they are not. This one appears to only work with motherboards that support DDR4 memory and my older one doesn't, it uses DDR3. So, while this may be a good module, it may not work with your motherboard. Unfortunately, as the seller does not not provide a comprehensive list of compatible boards, there is no way of knowing if it will work for you.

Great item if you want to install Windows 11.

TPM 2.0 key supposedly but shows as 1.2 after installation. Doesn't appear to be an easy way to update the firmware so is useless if you are hoping to update to Windows 11. Positives are that it installed okay and was picked up by the bios with no issues, just not TPM 2.0 as per description.

I used this to get around a Windows 11 upgrade warning and to generally provide better security for cryptographic keys. It plugged straight into the motherboard socket and was recognised by Windows. Job done.
