Excellent Buy
The birds in my garden absolutely love these-each day they get through seven fatballs before lunchtime! Even the pigeons have been appearing earlier than usual. It’s also great that I don’t have to keep opening cellophane packets to open a few at a time and it certainly saves on disposing of it.I’ll definitely be purchasing more in the future.

It's ok
There isn't much going on seed-wise in these balls, but I bought them because they were cheap and people said the birds are eating them.I'm delighted to say that the birds do indeed like these fat balls, the only reason I have only 4 stars is the lack of seeds etc.

lasted a long time... good thing or bad thing... i dont think i would buy again
didn't really think a load of balls in a cardboard box was a great way to deliver; good price though and the birds loved them at first. i transferred the balls to a airtight box so they cant have gone off but now the birds seem to avoid them in favour of neighbours selection. Only getting eaten occasionally when she hasnt put hers out... its like the birds equivalent of a Mcdonalds... convenient if theres nothing better.

Perfectly packaged!
I've had other makes of fat balls which arrived loose in a cardboard box with fat crumbs leaking out. However, these were packaged in a plastic bag inside the box and almost all the balls were intact making them easy to handle. I've given 5 stars for freshness and flavour as the birds seem to enjoy them - but who knows?!!

Second batch that most birds just will not touch at all. WORTHLESS!!
Among a number of different types of bird feeders & feed I have 2 fat ball cages. Ordinarily my local feathered friends would rapidly go through a large 10-12KG box of fat balls every 2 to 3 months or so, (not to mention several KG's of mixed seed, Niger seed & peanuts). However, this was the second subsequent batch of these fat balls I've received that have caused problems & most bird species that usually scoff them down just would not touch them at all. (The only birds that would sometimes have a go at them was a larger group of starlings that tends to pass through each day to squabble over the feeders for a short while before moving on elsewhere. Or, a couple of crows had also been tentatively feeding upon them too that are obviously known for eating pretty much anything, including the utterly disgusting.) Otherwise, that's now twice I've received a completely substandard product that had to be discarded after sitting in a container for 5 months with only about 25% of the balls consumed in the interim. (Most of the previous batch also had to be discarded due to the same problems.) Something within these fat balls from this particular seller clearly isn't right at all unfortunately. I've also read a number of other reviewers commenting upon & complaining about the exact same issues too.Ultimately, they're simply worthless. I've purchased other brands for the same amount vs price point many times over the years. Not only were they all absolutely fine & the birds quite literally couldn't get enough of them, but sometimes I had to slow down the refill rate because they were going through them so quickly. However, these cheap fat balls are quite literally "balls"!! I'm not going to risk this brand/seller again & I'd rather pay an extra few £quid for some better quality balls that the birds will actually feed upon, & they won't end up in a dustbin with the money wasted anyway. Obviously I can't do anything other than rate at 1/5 & that's a generous rating too. PURCHASE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
