I have been using these small Bringsmart gear motors for about 3 years. They are great little motors, but if something jams, the brass gears in the gearbox can be stripped. I contacted Bringsmart via email to ask if adding a 1.5A fuse (normal load <0.5A) would prevent this. Considering the time difference between the US and China, the response was very prompt, confirming that the fuse should solve my problem. These motors are inexpensive, but fuses are even cheaper. Very pleased with these motors and the customer service.

Quoting as “high torque “is meaningless if you don’t quote a real torque figure. I bought this unit thinking to power my apple grinder that I normally use a battery drill to grind apples, this gear motor stalls with one apple.

Threaded mounting holes stripped immediately. Practically unusable. Dont waste your money.

Strong gear motor. A little noisy but does a great job, will make easy work of things regular deer motors won’t do. No you do not need the speed controller. These come with a set RPM. Just the AC adapter and an 8mm attachment point.
