Really refreshing with a lovely clean taste. Great Quality Tea. I am surprised how long it has lasted. The pack contains 100 g, but I still have plenty left. Makes a refreshing cup of tea for a morning "cuppa". I recommend this product and will definitely buy more!

Wunderbarer Bio Bergtee aus Griechenland! Mit heißem Wasser aufgießen und10 bis 15 Minuten zugedeckt ziehen lassen. Der Tee kann in der Thermoskanne abgefüllt werden. Er wird nicht bitter wie zum Beispiel Grüner Tee! Wenn er die Trinktemperatur erreicht hat, kann man auch Zitrone dazu geben. Der Tee wirkt beruhigend, ausgleichend und sehr zu empfehlen am späten Nachmittag oder Abend wegen seiner schlaffördernden Wirkung.

I enjoyed 3-4 cups but then I found a snail shell in the packet. Disgusting and dangerous. I would not recommend.

I feel like the best way to talk about this tea is to include some... I wouldn't call it nerd info, but just a bit more to preface, so you know what you're buying. Like if you just want a decent mountain tea, the short version is that yeah, I'd rec this one easily enough. You can also just skip to the tl;dr. For people who want details: First off, this is sideritis raeseri, a close relative of sideritis scardica, which is the bit-more-famous tea. The difference is that this variety, raeseri, is one of a number of teas under the sideritis umbrella that count as "mountain tea", as opposed to what some people call olympus tea (scardica) to try to differentiate them. They're all related plants that grow in different regions of Europe and have slightly different flavors. Raeseri is a bit more common, but for the people who are health-oriented, you can search on pubmed and find studies showing that raeseri and scardica have very similar health benefits. Think of them as fraternal twins. (In fact, there are several more in the family) Regarding this particular loose leaf, and you can kinda see it in the other photos people have uploaded, but it is a finer cut than in the promo photos. It's basically the same full length (flower, stem, leaves), but they've already broken it up into pieces, maybe 1cm / a half-ish inch or so. All parts have their benefits, so this inclusion of everything is preferable to brewing only part of the plant. You will see some smaller bits of leaf and flower and what might look like dirt at first, but it's actually just seeds, so don't worry about it. For this reason, however, I did find that I preferred to brew with a paper filter. On brewing, eh, you can more or less follow trad directions, but for the best benefit, boiling it for a few minutes is best, because then it's more of a decoction than infusion (that is, you're getting more out of the tougher stemmy bits than you otherwise would). Do I do this? No. I'm too lazy. Actually, that's less true, but it's just impractical to think I'mma boil this at work. Boiling hot water once with my electric kettle, wait 10 minutes, and I'm good. Sidenote, and this is again from something I read in a pubmed study, "no more than 10 minutes" was considered the ideal extraction time. Mind you, there were better extraction methods, but I'm just gonna assume you also want tea. So what's the taste like? Pretty good. It's not quite like mint tea, not quite like chamomile; it's herby but without the kind of oregano vibe that that description gives me. This particular variety is supposed to be more earthy and full-bodied, and comparing it to a variety of scardica I bought, I'd say that's accurate. It's a bit more intense and less minty than scardica imo. I don't add honey or lemon-- I prefer to avoid the sugar, and while this would probably taste great with lemon, I also want to avoid the extra acid right now. It tastes great plain tbh. I do prefer the taste of this to scardica, but will probably drink them both in tandem because their qualities are similar enough for my purposes. I can't weigh in yet on the different brands of this same plant, but being pretty versed in tea overall, I give this a good passing grade. The green color is fresh, it seems properly dried, it's not overly squished and broken, and I didn't find anything amiss in my bag. It seems in good shape! Lastly, I'll just say that from a purely subjective standpoint, I do feel better after drinking this. It feels on par with chamomile in terms of being anti-inflammatory. There are some other suspected benefits for other concerns I have, re: metabolic and gut health, neuroprotective qualities, etc, but those are still in the process of being studied. Still, with the tradition of drinking this as long as people traditionally have been, in the places where this is a staple tea, it has the benefit of a long consumption history and ostensibly no downsides. Just being hydrated will help a lot of the people reading this, but I do think this tea offers a bit more to exchange in terms of supporting the rube goldberg machine in your skull. I'm in the habit of updating my reviews over time, and will eventually comment if I notice anything that sets this particular brand's tea apart from another's of the same species. tl;dr: It's a pretty decent mountain tea. I have no complaints. Would rec a paper filter to catch some of the smaller bits (they're not dirt) that will otherwise sneak through a sieve, but it's up to you. Very tasty, if you enjoy most herbal tisanes, such as chamomile.

Greek mountain tea is of exceptional quality. I grew up drinking this type of tea and even harvested it myself in the Yugoslavian mountains. The tea appears fresh, with aromatic leaves and a smooth texture. It’s a soothing brew with a lovely golden color. The quality is clearly excellent and authentic. I enjoy it with lemon, and it brews beautifully every time. I’ve already purchased my second bag and plan to grow it because it’s so beneficial for health.

Ich liebe diesen Tee. Er tut mir gut und ich finde er schmeckt auch. Er könnte etwas blumiger schmecken aber gut. Die Wirkung ist angenehm. Ich habe ihn gekauft weil ich gelesen habe dass er die Mastzellen stabilisieren soll und ich finde mal spürt eine dezente Wirkung.
