Revlon Smoothstay Coconut Oil-Infused Hair Straightener - RVST2211P

I have tried so many different straightener but these are by far the best. First off the are sleek and they can be locked closed so they can store and in their own included storage bag, great for travelling. They heat up quickly to many different heats depending on your hair, they don't pull those wispy bits and glide nicely down the hair leaving it lovely and straight after one pass. They are light weight compared to other I have tried in the past and you don't have to apply pressure to keep plates together. The on/off buttons are nicely at the side so you don't end up turning them off when using them (unlike my Reminghton ones that are now redundant). One really nice point is these have an auto shut off so now bo last minute did I /didnt I turn them off before I left the house. Overall great straighteners at an affordable price.

Nice solid straighteners with a good weight to them , they heat up fairly fast although the lowest setting not hot enough to tame my unruly hair but the second setting perfect , the matt finish means it's easy to hold and the cable is a nice length , The only part I don't like is the locking switch which is far too stiff for my arthritic fingers so I will leave it unlocked , apart from the locking switch I'm really pleased with my purchase .

I bought these to replace my old GHD's that had lost their umph. They are better than my old ones ever were for a fraction of the price. I don't need to use so much product on my hair and they straighten my thick curly hair with only one or two passes.

My 12 year old GHD’s sadly gave up the ghost. I decided to try a different make after reading the reviews of this one and I’m so glad I decided to buy them. They heat up super quickly and glide through your hair. They do have a slight smell of coconut because they are infused with the oil. My hair is so nice and soft and glossy after using them and my day 2 hair is also much better than before. I have shoulder length fine hair and blow dry to add volume. My GHD’s would often straighten my hair to the point that it was straight but flat. These new ones keep that volume in my hair all day. They are great for straightening and adding a bit of curl to the ends. My hair isn’t long enough for a full curl, but I’d imagine you’d get a good curl from them with longer hair. All in all I love these straighteners and kind of glad my GHD’s gave up for ghost.

Have had these now for around 2 years, they worked just fine for the 1st year but at some point after that they started building up this nasty brown residue on the plates from what I'm guessing must be the "coconut oil extract" burning after awhile. I keep my hair very clean and almost never use products so it could be nothing else. Tried removing it but to no avail, searched up the issue online and other people reported a similar issue with oil-infused straightners. Will be making sure my next pair isn't infused with coconut oil, whatever that means.
