Anyone know how many milligrams of Lactoferrin should be contained within 500 mg** A: The concentration of lactoferrin in the "first milk" is considered to be 7 g/liter. Problem is we are using a dried product and I haven't been able to see how much 500mg of dried product relates to a liquid amount of the original product. Supposedly, they are only removing the water and fat from the liquid. I am using the Now brand capsules for a cat I have and it cured her life-long bloody diarrhea. For myself (I have Crohn's) I am now using the Symbiotic chewable. They are both excellent products and I recommend them highly. The Symbiotic's brand states that it has 7mg of lactoferrin per 800mg of colostrum. I hope this helps and I would be happy to share more of my experiences if you wish. **Q: is this colostrum from grass fed cows?** A: Just FYI for anyone reading this, all cows are grass-fed. The ones that end up being grain-fed are done so the last 30-90 days of their life “grain-finished.” The corn and grains are toxic for the cows and cause bloat and other problems, that’s why their only given grains for a short time. So saying 85% grass-fed, we’ll that’s most all cows. Also, cows are prohibited from being given growth hormones. Milk supply had dropped and was having trouble nursing my daughter after a week of taking these morning and night She sits through longer feeds she's happier and nursing longer sessions again. my pumping output is back to what it used to be. I don't usually have a dairy allergy or hard time with dairy however do expect some rumbling in your tummy and some bubbling it's worth the purchase and I think after a week you get accustomed to it and we'll subside however if you cannot consume dairy products without having stomach issues I wouldn't recommend this product for you. Also can make you very gassy.
