Should fit standard but models like classic series 50s have 8 screw pickgaurds. It's the screws by the arch near the selector switch which typically differ. Should check out for your guitar before buying. **Q: Will this fit in a fender crafted in japan, 1998, st 62?** A: I used it on a Squier Strat from 2002. I had to plug the original holes and tap new ones as the holes on the pickguard were about 1-2mm off. The old holes were covered by the new pickguard so it looks good. Not sure about a Japanese Fender... I docked a star because the pickup and selector switch holes aren’t countersunk, and the aluminum plating on the back is really low quality. Countersinking the holes was a 2 minute job with a countersink on my drill, so not a big deal. And I plate all my guards with copper foil tape, so also not a major issue.
