If you're dealing with vents blasting air in all the wrong directions, these deflectors are worth a look. We got them for our apartment because the airflow was super strong and the vents were placed in pretty inconvenient spots, not exactly something you can control when you're renting :( So we needed a simple, non-destructive fix, and these did the job. The plastic piece fits well and feels sturdy enough. The magnetic attachment is genuinely strong, though we ran into a small snag when we discovered our vent plates weren't actually metal. Little disappointing since the magnet is kind of the whole selling point! But the deflector has screw holes built in, so we just attached it that way instead and it worked out perfectly fine. My favorite thing about these that they are completely transparent. They don't mess with the look of our space at all and don't bring the unnecessary attention. And of course they do a great job redirecting the airflow, so we got them for all the rooms in our apartment. Bottom line these deflectors are super easy to install and feel nice and sturdy, I only wish they were a little cheaper, but still decent value for what you get, would buy again.

These are fairly high quality, with strong magnets, and easy to install. Works really well for redirecting airflow exactly where you need it. Much larger than the prior vent deflector I had and better to help minimize direct air flow onto my face. However, I noticed that the edge was damaged even though the box was fine. Not sure if issue during assembly or just bouncing in box caused it. Either way, be careful as the edge is fragile.

This works great in diverting air to keep entire room temperature stable. Adjustable feature fits original vent well. Good value for the money and seems well made.

I needed a vent cover to deflect a vent that was blowing directly at me while I'm working at my desk. I bought this one specifically because it was tall enough to cover the entire vent vertically, while other versions of this product seem to only cover about half. I'm pleased to say that it matches the product photos and covers my entire vent. The magnets on the side are strong enough to stay attached to my vent, withstanding some really strong currents. It's easily installable without any tools, and also easy to adjust. I have mine installed upside down so the air gets deflected upwards towards the ceiling. The deflector is two pieces that slide against each other, making it adjustable horizontally to fit your vent width. This is the only part where the "sturdiness" feels slightly weak and could be a point of failure, but hasn't been a problem for me. All in all, this was the perfect product for me and I'm 100% happy with it. It deflects the air current perfectly while still allowing my room to cool down or heat up as needed.

Magnets wouldn't fit in slots provided and the side where they did wouldn't hold to vent (possibly aluminum, they're painted). My son got on the project (before i could put it back in the box to return) and he removed the screws in the vents and thru-bolted the deflectors. they are VERY wide, so plan on that, but nice and clear.

Magnets don’t work very well. It stuck on the ceiling until air started to flow through the vents and then it fell. The enclosed sticky tape worked well to keep it up but I would have preferred to just use magnets

I've bought several of these now, and they work great. They're adjustable, which is very helpful, and the magnets are strong. I have some of these on ceiling vents and they've never fallen down. Their very sturdy and easy to put up and take down, easy to clean. They're great for us because I love AC here in the hot southwest, and my wife doesn't mind the temperature I like, but if the AC vent is directly blowing on her, it's too much. These completely solve that problem.

Mother in law has been complaining of vent blast for years. Many attempted fixes failed. This totally does the job because it is wide (5 1/2 inches vs 3 inch standard deflector). Well built and sturdy. Magnets are pretty strong but use screws if attaching to the ceiling.

I needed to divert air from my vents to prevent damage to some really beautiful palm trees I have that are easily damaged by direct blowing air through vents. I purchased this product (2 pack) because I liked how large the actual item was, covering almost all of the HVAC vent located high up on my walls near the ceiling. I am happy to say that the product does indeed cover most of the vent, unlike most products that only cover half. The product has an adjustable width and I was able to install using both screw holes to screw directly to the HVAC cover. I initially attempted with just double sided tape that was included but it fell off after a couple hours. The screws are a must use for safe installation. Overall, I am happy with this item and look forward to using my heating during the winter months without harming my plants. I cannot speak to how this product will hold up over time, but after purchase and installation it appears to be quality product that is strong and will help me achieve the results I needed. I do recommend this product, even though it's costlier than other options, due to its larger size and ability to cover the entire vent.
