Clairol Blonde It Up Toners Demi-Permanent Hair Dye, Radiant Opal

Not drying, beautiful color. Obviously you must have light colored hair (level 9 or 10) for this to work. It didnt touch the level 8 colored hair but at least all my yellow blonde is now more pearly Grey blonde which is what I wanted. See the before and after pics to see the difference (first two pics same bathroom and lighting.) Of note, the solution was not purple/blue as it sat in my hair-- i always worry even when I rinse well that im going to ruin my towels. This color is like a grayish white.

I’m 60 years old and at this age my hair is still mostly dark brown but I do bleach it. After I bleach it I use this toner to get it to a white pearl look and then I use my bonding agent so my hair will be strong and healthy but this Opal toner is a brilliant white on my hair when I’m all done. Love it! I always look fresh out the hair salon without the cost 💲

I let my hair go gray during Covid but now it's looking dull. I was looking for a way to jazz it up just a bit. Didn't think I'd like this product at first but after using it I put it into my subscribe box. It lasts thru multiple washing and there's no roots. Worth trying for yourself.

Since I am naturally gray, and wanted to stop dying my hair blonde, I figured I’d try this. The first one of this brand came with bleach, which I cannot use due to severe allergy, so I skipped the bleach and noticed hardly any change in my hair except that it did look like it blended the gray roots a little better with the blonde for a couple of weeks. So I try it again the one without bleach. Same result. I don’t want to have to dye my hair anymore, so thought I would turn it gray and not have to be bothered with it how I not have to see roots

Really does take away the reddish brassy tones. It may look a little too grey initially but it fades and I finally have blonde hair without the red in it!

Wanted this for my white hair to keep it white but it became yellow towards the end of the color life

I’m attempting to grow my roots out and let my silver hair show but I have a very stark line of demarcation so I am trying to cover some of it up. See 1st picture. Then the other photos are after I toned it. I let this stay on for the full 20 minutes and this is with one shampoo. My brassy roots are toned down some and my over processed hair has grabbed all of the purple undertone of this toner. It works okay and I don’t expect it to last more than a few washes but it’s still better and less expensive than a hair salon or the silver root temporary hair spray. Purple hair is in now…right??!! Haha 😂 Only time will tell if I purchase another kit again but if I do, then I’ll do an update to this review. Bottom line is if you do need to tone down roots and brassy hair then this will definitely work for you too!! Try it…it rinses out after several shampoos!

This is an amazing toner. It removes all yellow undertones.

Used on previously bleached hair , I think it came out better than expected. Easy to use and my hair feels soft . Only left it on for 15 mins as my hair is highly processed. Will use again !

Didn’t do anything?? like literally nothing. I followed the instructions, reread it multiple times because i was like ‘i have to be doing something wrong?’ Nope. Just a horrible product. Complete waste of money, wouldn’t recommend it at all. If you wanna tone your hair, most of the ones on amazon (even the ones with great reviews), don’t work very well. I would recommend going into an actual beauty store or hairstylists and buying it from them.

Well based on reviews; it was a 50/50 chance it would work out nicely ? Unfortunately no , I have white roots and left on for 30 minutes but it didn’t work. The parts of hair that did take were close to the color description. I won’t waste my money trying it again .

So at first I thought it didn't work but once my hair dried and I looked at it in natural light I could see the difference. It still has a pretty strong hair dye smell that I dislike. I was expecting less odor because it doesn't have ammonia.it is a bitvdrying too but thats to be expected with developer. But it worked so I'm happy.i used it on dry unwashed hair and left it on for 20 minutes.
