I read several reviews of welding machines before consoling this one.Although not the cheapest it came top on the reviews I read.Personally,I cannot fault it.The packaging was superb and delivery was quite good considering it came from Germany.The extra long leads are a real bonus and it is quite quiet in use.I have used it on several jobs around the stable yard (using a generator) and it has not disappointed,especially with it being so portable. .Although I am not a professional welder my job as a maintenance engineer meant I did do a fair bit of welding and this is a serious bit of kit.easily comparable to the industrial machines I have used..The current is easily adjusted and is accurate.The weld starts well and does not ‘fluctuate’ in use.I have not used it for any continuous length of time but I really can’t see there being a problem on doing so.For such a small machine it packs one hell of a punch.Highly recommended

Arrived in mint condition very well packaged. Not yet plugged it in and already iam smiling from ear to ear. No distraction colours or fashion pieces. Just a no nonsense piece of working man's kit. :) bonus it came with uk plug already attached with correct fuse. Fantastic.

Good value

A small, simple and light welder that appears to have a lot of welding power at its full setting. Easy to use with the electrode striking an arc without sticking. I managed a few test welds on scrap easily and then did a couple of jobs and was impressed by the work done. The long cables are brilliant for me as they will enable me to work well away from the welder, such as up a ladder. Delivery time was good and the transport carton is strong enough to allow it to be used to store the cables. No idea how accurate the LED display is. I just do what I have always done - try a few test welds and adjust accordingly. Bit miffed the same welder was £10 cheaper from the same source, this only coming to light once I paid. That needs sorting out.

I was surprised at how light the welder was but to date, it has performed well. The machine is well made. The package contains leads of a good length which allows one to place the machine in a convenient position. It is fan cooled but not noisy. The current control at the lower end (50A - 100A) has a coarse but adequate setting range. Without having to remove the terminal lug on either lead thus negating any warantee, I have fitted a magnetic earth clamp and a screw type electrode holder. With this Stamos welder at the centre, I have achived the best set-up that I have had for years. I would strongly recommend this welder.

Bought this for my cousin who’s a professional TIG welder. He could not thank me enough as the ones available in his country dont come near to this genius piece. I had him working for days on some small projects and seeing him convinced me to buy one. I saved £16 as I bought it directly for Germany not Amazon, so it is cheaper from their website. I’m just a beginner & have used mine less than 10 times for very small jobs but it operates so smoothly and the long cables are so handy. For those who may need to know, it is made in Poland, but there’s no doubt, its a German quality.

This thing is awesome - never welded before & wanted something easy but professional build/results without massive cost & hassle of buying gas etc (this is a quality German made machine). Came earlier than stated & Very easy to use comes with a 3 pin uk adaptor already connected so just plug & play. I have welded some cart wheels onto my steel Bosch mitre saw stand & fixed some broken metal items around the house within couple hours of receiving. Watch some YouTube vids on arc welding etc for tips & the correct way & don’t forget to Order yourself some gloves/helmet & rods & your good to go :)

Far be it from me to puff up the Germans, but this is an outstanding product in every way. Although it doesn't come with a carry case, it does come packed in a heavy-walled cardboard box with a wooden floor and lid (remember them?) This can be used as a tidy case for storage/transport-far better than throwing away the usual plastic bubble wrap into landfill. The stinger and earthing leads are good quality and very long, but you will need to swap out the continental power plug for UK 13amp. With a 250amp maximum rating and 60% duty cycle, I can weld continuously for the vast majority of applications on the farm where I work. Also, despite coming from Germany, the item arrived within a week. Really excellent buying experience all-round.

La saldatrice si presenta subito molto bene, consegnata in un imballo rinforzato e curato, a prova di urti durante il trasporto. Appena estratta trasmette una sensazione di solidità, pur rimanendo sorprendentemente leggera e facile da maneggiare. La cinghia regolabile la rende ancora più comoda da trasportare, ideale per chi deve spostarla spesso. Dal punto di vista tecnico lavora in modo soddisfacente: fonde senza problemi elettrodi da 2,5 mm a circa 80/90A e riesce a gestire anche diametri maggiori come i 3,25 mm a 165A, mantenendo un arco stabile e continuo grazie all’inverter integrato. Non è una macchina professionale al 100%, ma per un uso hobbistico o semi-professionale si dimostra davvero valida, consentendo saldature omogenee e precise senza richiedere troppa esperienza. Molto apprezzati i cavi, che risultano lunghi e morbidi, permettendo libertà di movimento senza dover improvvisare supporti o prolunghe. L’unico limite riguarda l’isolamento: se entrano in contatto con parti calde possono sciogliersi e scoprire il rame, quindi conviene prestare attenzione e avere a disposizione del nastro isolante. Nel complesso il rapporto qualità-prezzo è eccellente. Per chi cerca uno strumento leggero, maneggevole e al tempo stesso potente, capace di rispettare i limiti della normale fornitura domestica da 3,5 kW, questa saldatrice rappresenta una scelta più che consigliata.
