Sugary Girls: The Art of Eku Uekura (Japanese Edition)

I've been on an art book kick, and decided to check this one out. I do not regret it! I learned of this artist through a BJD line of the same title. There are some illustrations of those dolls in the book, and they are super pretty. I love the presentation. The slipcover is super pretty, but does tear easily. I had to do an exchange to get an undamaged copy. I would recommend to buy this solo to prevent other items from causing potential damage.

Super cute! The artwork is so beautiful and well-done, and the quality is great. Because of some of the comments, I was worried that the dust-jacket would rip, but thankfully it arrived in perfect condition.

OMG sooooo cute... definitely worth it printing quality is good

This is a beautiful art book. It is filled with wonderful illustrations by the artist, including a small character design and clothing section. Well put together, and vibrant title pages that separate the different types of illustrations. However upon arrival, when I first opened my package, I found the cover flap was torn. It must’ve gotten damaged in the packaging and/or delivery process, so I cannot give it a five stars rating and I am letting others know of this issue. The item itself is amazing but the way it was handled was not. Amazon should’ve put a wrap around the book itself, instead of just packaging it in a brown bag.

Es de los libros de arte mas hermosos que he visto

The illustrations are great, the art work beautiful. I'm ok with everything but every single picture looks like. Everything in this book illustration is for small girls that love cute things because you can see its childish in the inside, nothing bad about that, or if you wanna see or get inspired how to draw young girls this is the book here 👍 .... In a anime art style ✨️

I wasn't for sure if this was something I'd enjoy from reading previous reviews but that's not the case. The art is beautiful and I'm glad to say that mine arrived with no rips or tears. One thing I wanted to mention is that there actually is English in this book. I took a few pictures but there is more. It's mostly just pictures which is what I primarily wanted but understanding the names and afterwords was a nice welcome. Definitely try to buy when it's on discount!

Every illustration in here was drawn with such care and detail. I pre-ordered this book because I was so excited and I'm feeling inspired already just looking at the amount of character put into these sugar girls! Eku Uekura is so talented!

Eu adorei o livro, as ilustrações, o material do livro...

This volume of anime illustrations by Eku Uekura is indeed 'sugary' but my daughter loves it, which is the main thing. The text is mostly Japanese with some English translations but you can enjoy the illustrations regardless.

Very cute, but arrived damaged. The missing chunk was not in the bag either. Meaning it was already damaged when they sent it to me.
