Helped Identify the Real Problem — Not Bed Bugs, but Fleas
I originally bought these Harris Bed Bug Early Detection Glue Traps because we were getting bites at night and wanted to rule out bed bugs. These were easy to set up and gave us answers pretty quickly—but not the ones we expected. Within a short time, the traps started catching small insects, and it turned out they were fleas, not bed bugs. That alone made these incredibly useful. Instead of guessing or worrying, we were able to clearly see what was actually causing the issue and take the right steps to treat our dog and home. The adhesive is strong enough to catch and hold small bugs, and the design makes it easy to place near bed legs or along the floor where activity is likely. They’re also discreet enough that they don’t stand out too much once placed. **Pros:** * Helped accurately identify the source of bites * Catches small insects effectively (including fleas) * Easy to set up and place * Useful for peace of mind when diagnosing a problem **Cons:** * Not reusable * Doesn’t solve the infestation—just helps detect it **Bottom line:** Even though these are marketed for bed bugs, they worked really well as a general detection tool. If you’re trying to figure out what’s biting you at night, these can give you quick, clear answers so you can take the right next step.

Great for detection and monitoring your progress
I travel for work and despite all the precautions I take (checking the room before bringing anything inside, not putting my bag on the floor or bed, and all sorts of other stuff) but still somehow still ended up with these damn things in our house. Fortunately we realized we had them before the infestation spread beyond the one room. I wish there’s was a trap that could be baited or a poison they could eat and bring back to a nest but no such luck. Lots of spraying followed by a good cleaning, along with encasing the box springs and mattress in a protective cover (with lots of powered) helped. I’ve read several reviews concerning the stickiness, or lack there of but I didn’t have any problems with bugs sticking. Once we eliminated those we could we used these traps to monitor the eradication efforts and progress. The first one I used I set it up as instructed, and although it wasn’t difficult I decided to tear off the flaps on the remaining ones. By removing the flaps I was able to view them without picking them up to see if any bugs were stuck to the glue area. These aren’t traps, meaning they’re not going to eliminate the bugs or rid your home of these nightmarish creatures. The only thing these “traps” do is to let you know you haven’t rid yourself of all of them yet.
