I don’t use bumper plates, but if you do then you won’t be able to load much weight on there. But if you use old school iron plates - or especially if you use calibrated plates - you will be able to load a good amount of weight. The sleeve is 11 inches long. To give you a sense of it, I can load 7 of my 45 pound plates (with no room to spare) or 5 100 pound plates (with about an inch to spare). Does exactly what I need it to. Would be nice if they made a hole/pin model specifically for 3x3 racks. There's a little wobble, but it's not something you really notice while performing the exercise. I'm going to get all the paint off of the pin because it's such a tight fit that the paint scrapes off. Nearly cut myself on a piece scraping off. Company clearly didn't use the right paint/apply a primer.
